Tell us the name of your town and a little bit of history about it.
I live in Schaumburg, Illinois. I have lived here since 1985. Schaumburg was founded as Sara's Grove in the late 1800's. I only live a couple of blocks from the old section of town. One of the most visited places in Schaumburg is Woodfield Mall. Built in the late 1960's, Woodfield was once the biggest shopping mall in the country. Almost all the schools in Schaumburg are named after historical figures. I went to Aldrin Grade School (well, after we moved here, anyway) and Robert Frost Junior High School. I graduated from Schaumburg High School in 1994. There was a girl who graduated in 1991 who went on to be Miss America.
