View Full Version : Today Show will add another HOUR in September-LOL TVFactFan 02-05-2007, 06:57 PM 7am to 11am???? To Talk about What??-lol It's said the 4th Hour will be LIGHTER news like Fashion Stories, and Decorating. Sounds a little SILLY, anyone agree? USA Today, 2/5/07 Brian Damage 02-05-2007, 08:04 PM tIKI bARBER WILL BE A PART OF THAT 4TH HOUR TO TALK MEN'S FASHION. LOL TVFactFan 02-05-2007, 11:00 PM tIKI bARBER WILL BE A PART OF THAT 4TH HOUR TO TALK MEN'S FASHION. LOL So I guess whatever aired on my NBC station at 10am will be pushed back to 11am or just taken off completely Pavan 02-05-2007, 11:11 PM It is silly. 7-11am is way too long. 7-9am is good enough really. NBC is doing this because NBC Universal shows have done terrible in syndication, like Megan Mullally. NBC-owned stations in particular have no real first run hits. Scoobiedoo30 02-05-2007, 11:14 PM where I Live Ellen airs on WDSU at 10:00 am TVFactFan 02-05-2007, 11:14 PM It is silly. 7-11am is way too long. 7-9am is good enough really. But I thought the Today Show was already the Highest rated morning show so why did they feel they needed to EXTEND?-lol Brian Damage 02-05-2007, 11:20 PM But I thought the Today Show was already the Highest rated morning show so why did they feel they needed to EXTEND?-lol I guess because it is such a success. Pavan 02-06-2007, 01:07 AM But I thought the Today Show was already the Highest rated morning show so why did they feel they needed to EXTEND?-lol Their first-run stuff on local channels is doing terrible, that's why. Today 2 (9-10am) does better than the first run stuff. Today 7-9am does really well, but Today 2 does average, but better than shows like Martha and Mullally. And I'm sure Today 3 will be even lower but better than the first-run stuff for sure, it will be up against The View and The Price is Right, which crush NBC's first run stuff at 11am. Scoobiedoo30 02-06-2007, 01:27 AM I also belive that ABC is thinking about adding a 3 Hour of ood Morning Amercial as well in The all Brian Damage 02-06-2007, 02:17 AM I also belive that ABC is thinking about adding a 3 Hour of ood Morning Amercial as well in The all Good Morning America is NO Today Show. GoldenGirlsFan92 02-06-2007, 05:56 PM where I Live Ellen airs on WDSU at 10:00 am I agree. I guess she will come on at 11am? I would ike it if it came on at 3 or 4PM. Scoobiedoo30 02-06-2007, 06:00 PM I think WDSU Will move Ellen to 2:00 pm when The Today Show Begings it's 4th Hour in September since WDSU airs Passions at 2:00 pm Pavan 02-06-2007, 07:24 PM I doubt ABC would add a 3rd hour to GMA, ABC affiliates, especially ABC-owned are very strong in daytime. And Brian Damage, Today and GMA is not that much of a difference anymore in the ratings. In fact, here in NY, GMA always wins. It is mostly like that where ABC-owned channels rule. Now if you had said Early Show is no Today show, that would have been true, lol. Early Show is pathetic. It loses to Fox and CW morning shows in many places. Scoobiedoo30 02-06-2007, 07:35 PM I Belive The 9:00 am Hour should keep First Run Talk Show's on ABC Station's TVListinGuy 02-07-2007, 01:05 AM I think WDSU Will move Ellen to 2:00 pm when The Today Show Begings it's 4th Hour in September since WDSU airs Passions at 2:00 pm Passions is being cancelled to make room for the extra hour of Today, so it'll be gone by the time Today expands. I believe it's being cancelled in August. GoldenGirlsFan92 02-07-2007, 06:11 PM Passions is being cancelled to make room for the extra hour of Today, so it'll be gone by the time Today expands. I believe it's being cancelled in August. Is "Passons" being canceled just because "Today" wants to add another hour or because of low raitings? If they are canceling just to make room for "Today", that is stupid. TVFactFan 02-07-2007, 06:13 PM Passions being cancelled has nothing to do with this MOVE to add another hour because here in Philadelphia it comes on at 2pm. So The Move has nothing to do with Passions GoldenGirlsFan92 02-07-2007, 06:37 PM Passions being cancelled has nothing to do with this MOVE to add another hour because here in Philadelphia it comes on at 2pm. So The Move has nothing to do with Passions Many thanks. TVListinGuy 02-08-2007, 12:46 AM Passions being cancelled has nothing to do with this MOVE to add another hour because here in Philadelphia it comes on at 2pm. So The Move has nothing to do with Passions I think it does actually have something to do with Today's expansion. Regardless of what time Passions airs, the network is taking an hour away from affiliates for local/syndicated programming. To make up for that hour, NBC is getting rid of Passions. Plus, when the 4th hour begins, only about half of the affiliates will air it at its normal time. Due to existing syndication contracts, many affiliates will have to delay it - some until the afternoon. So those affiliates that have to air it in the afternoon will probably put it in Passions' slot. Scoobiedoo30 02-08-2007, 02:09 AM so you think WDSU Will air The 4th Hour of Today at 2:00 pm Scoobiedoo30 02-08-2007, 03:00 AM yes assions is Leaveing in August TVFactFan 02-08-2007, 07:09 PM I think it does actually have something to do with Today's expansion. Well I think it's Foolish, 2 hours was long enough now they are doing 4 and with Roker and Curry-lol Scoobiedoo30 02-09-2007, 02:14 AM I think that Today Show should only be on the air for 2 Hours GoldenGirlsFan92 02-10-2007, 12:10 AM I think WDSU Will move Ellen to 2:00 pm when The Today Show Begings it's 4th Hour in September since WDSU airs Passions at 2:00 pm I e-mailed them and they responded with "They Do Not Know where they will put Ellen yet". I hope to see her at 3PM. Scoobiedoo30 02-10-2007, 12:55 AM My mom said she hope's that WDSU Airs Ellen at 3:00 pm snl 70s show fan 02-10-2007, 03:26 AM i think its a stupid idea nobody is going to sit watching the today show for 4 hours every day GoldenGirlsFan92 02-10-2007, 02:29 PM i think its a stupid idea nobody is going to sit watching the today show for 4 hours every day I agree. I think 3 hours is LONG enough already! Scoobiedoo30 02-13-2007, 01:13 AM yes Passions will be gone in August of 2007 |
