I'm in 10th grade and I've pretty much struggled at all math except Algebra I. So far I'm struggling with Biology. Pretty much all the things that have to do with math. I'm an english/history guy.

I consistently got Cs in Maths and Science. I was good at some parts and not so good at others. I wasn't very good at P.E. either. My best subjects were English, History, Drama and R.E.

Hands down, math. I hate math. I struggled from 7th from all the way through 12th. I never got above a C in math. In 8th and 11th grade I had two math teachers that weren't dedicated to helping students that were weak in math, so part of that blame goes to them. I excelled in english and history myself.

Math! I was the worst math student. I barely flunked it in High School.

Math and Science. History was my best subject.

Science. I almost failed seventh grade science (life science), which sucked. :( And I just baaaaaaaaaaaaaarely passed biology in 10th grade.

The same is holding true in college -- I have attempted Concepts of Biology once (spring semester 2005) and General Biology twice (fall semester 2005 and 2006) and right now, I'm attempting Botany. Out of these, I only passed the lab portion of General Biology. :(

Without a doubt, Math! I'm still having such problems with it!

My best subjects are English, languages, and psychology.

Math was definitely my worst subject.

History, English and science were my best. I was in Honors Biology and Chemistry all through high school. I was also in Honor's English. What can I say? I was and probably am a nerd!! LOL!

Science, I had a C average. It was the hardest class, We had to pair up to do
an experiment making something in a beaker change colors and ours was the
only one that didn't change.

You guys are going to hate me, but I loved math. It was my favorite subject until I got past basic algebra, geometry, and trig. For some reason, I just couldn't handle the more advanced math. Still one of my favorites though. I also loved English and Social Studies.

My worst subject was chemistry. I didn't even attempt physics. Usually, they say if you're great at math, then you'll do great in the science, but it wasn't the case with me. I wasn't all that great at home ec either. I aced the cooking part OK, but flunked the sewing. (Do they still even teach that in school?)

I never struggled with any of my classes, in the sense of grasping the material. If I did struggle at all, or my grades were less than they should've been, it was when I'd start slipping on homework. Once I became dilligent on homework my grades shot up and I made honor roll. It was a question for me of prioritizing. It wasn't until I realized that homework came first, even before TV and other recreations, did I "get it". I only wished that I'd wised up earlier, like in junior high when I was 13 and 14, instead of having to wait until I was 17. As it turned out, I did get to college, graduate and go on to a masters degree, but a questionable transcript up until my junior year made it a bit more difficult to get into college. A higher GPA would've made life easier. At least I learned from the experience.

Bottom line: School subjects weren't difficult; I made them that way due to lack of work and effort on my part. (I also know that there are some teachers, who for whatever reason, suck all the interest and motivation out of a person, so you don't even want to go to class; been there too.)

In 8th grade it was World History. I love history mind you, but the tests would get me every single time.

In high school it was Algebra.

Calculus. Ive been trying to take it for years now. took it three times and dropped out every single time because as soon as I got in there, I was like "I can't do this." this is the ONLY thing keeping me from graduating. :(

Ok...I'm going to sound kinda arrogant. Sorry.

School was super-easy with me--both high school and college. I had a 4.0 in college, and in high school, I had one B+: so I had an A going into the final in PE, so my teacher told me I didn't have to take the test. But then, she was in an accident, so a sub had to give the test. So, the sub marked me as a 0 instead of excused on the test, bringing my grade down. Otherwise, I would have had a 4.0 (well, 4.9 on a 5 point 'cause I was in mostly honors) in high school, too.

I guess in terms of struggling, I'd have to say chemistry. I still pulled an A, but it was the only class I had to actually work in to get my grades.

Well, I suppose if you looked at my report cards, you'd say nothing but PE and chorus, because I got A's in everything else. But I struggled with Geometry and Trig, Chemistry and Biology. In college I flunked psychology (I was bored to death even though I find the subject interesting, and ironically, I skipped it all the time due to my own psychological problems), Calculus, and Grammar. Yeah, I pretty much blew the grammar class. Go figure. Other than that class though, I'm good at English Mechanics.

On my first calc test, I got a D-, and was made fun of by the prof. I dropped out. I hope calc burns in hell.

I also flunked psychology...twice. I finally passed it on the third try. Oddly enough, this was a class everyone thought that I would be good at. When I first entered college, the academic advisor thought that I should be a psychiatrist.

This samething happend to me. It was a philosphy class. The professor read two papers to the class. Paper 1 was what he considered the proper way to have done the assignment where as Paper 2 was what he considered the incorrect way to do the assignment. Paper 2 was my paper. Even though she didn't tell the class it was mine, I was still really embarrased.

Exactly. No one knew it was mine, but I still sort of hid my paper and pretended I had no idea who'd do such a stupid problem. lol

I had a public speaking teacher who made fun of me in high school (10th grade). She used to think it was funny to hold paper close to her face and read it (pretending to be me) in front of the class and she would laugh at the same time. I don't know why teachers and professors think that it's ok to make fun of students.
 That is totally uncalled for. Being a teacher, the number one thing you should have is tolerance. You never know who is going to walk through your door and what ailments/disabilities they may have.

I'm always happy to see my first graders treat their fellow special ed students like they would treat anyone, but the pessimist in me thinks it won't last through their life. :(

Gym and biology.

I didn't suck at Biology, but it was totally hard to stay focus in that class when the teacher bored me to tears where it caused me to skip classes(a BIG no-no in private school, they caught my ass, nuff said.)

Now Gym I sucked unless it was gymnastics, cheerleading, or ballet. Anything that requires the use of balls I did horribly in(the story of my life). I was too busy sitting on the sidelines reading Seventeen and Tiger Beat with the rest of the 'gym challenged' girls and one guy while doing our nails and hair. My gym teacher hated me anyway and thought I was brat.

Once I was forced to play basketball, it was horrible, I walked, carried, double dribbled, and almost knocked my teammate out by 'attempting' to shoot the ball in the basket.

One of the greatest things to happen to me in high school was when I sprained my knee...I had to sit out the volleyball unit. That was soooooo awesome. I hate volleyball. And gym in general. Forced swimming was a nightmare.

Math. I used to be really good at it when I was younger but in 8th grade I had a teacher that didn't teach, and ever since then math has been nothing but a struggle for me. It just doesn't make sense to me anymore. I spend so much more time studying for math than I do for any of my other classes. It always ruins everything for me--I usually get As in everything else and math is usually a B. Sometimes I'll pull an A, but it's so hard for me.

Oh god, how I hated volleyball! The evil gym teacher made me play and I remember that I broke my nail while hitting the ball back, mind you it was the day before the homecoming dance and I was supposed to get my nails done that day. I screamed my ass off and threw the ball above my teacher's head.

They forced swimming? What about those who couldn't swim? Gym was horrible period. Playing football was the worse because I hated to get rough and have the ball thrown at me. I was yelled at a few times for standing away from the field, same with softball, all I wanted to do was talk to my friends and get a couple of minutes reading Seventeen magazine before AP French.

I'm also late in getting my homework in...God I hope they don't drop me from the class...

I hated gym just for the fact that it was required. There were some units that I enjoyed, like badminton, aerobics, and walking, Everything else I hated. Especially volleyball.

Add me to the "I hate math!" club, hehe. I think, looking back, it was prob. more a lack of confidence than anything else, but still. If I ever have kids, and they come to me and say, "When am I ever gonna need this?!" I have no idea what I'll tell them. B/c once you get past the basic operations, you really don't need it!

I was never into gym, either. I'm just not athletic at all. If we were doing a unit I hated (like volleyball), I used to conveniently (sp?) "forget" my gym clothes sometimes, hehe. I did like it, though, when we'd have a substitute and they'd just get out the basketballs and let us play. I would just take a ball and go by myself and shoot.

Holy crap, I wish they would have thrown my ass in the pool... they would have to kick me out that class.

I realized how everyone hated volleyball, Volleyball days were the worst and the monster bitch the school called the gym teacher didn't help either.

Wow Jen, I would have felt bad myself, but I didn't feel bad for almost hitting my gym teacher, she deserved it!

I also realized how much everyone hates math in this thread, I would have listed math but I had the most INSANE crush on the teacher and would always study extra hard and pay attention just to show off and fake like I needed extra help after school..:) I was such a bad girl then.

Awww, he sounds adorable! My god my calc teacher was so breaktaking, I remember the signature scent, just smelled great. The way my teacher leaned on the desk. My teacher had a nice French accent which drove me crazy. I tried extra hard to impress and it actually paid off, for awhile.. my first heartbreak:( . But I passed calc my senior year.:)
