I have to say, I am a bit surprised by that decision. I guess Marty will have to make it over the hump one day. lol

I think the Chargers win that game if they had a timeout. theshark8777 01-17-2007, 07:19 PM I think that's the right move. Brian Damage 01-17-2007, 07:45 PM He was 14-2, but his problem isn't making the playoffs, it is winning them. dlemond 01-17-2007, 07:52 PM He was 14-2, but his problem isn't making the playoffs, it is winning them. They can go 16-0 and it doesn't mean a damn if they can't win even one playoff game. What is going to be different about next year compared to the countless others that Schottenheimer coached? What points to him taking the team through the playoffs? If I'm a Chargers fan, I'm ticked. I agree with you. Not only did he remain, but he got an extension to boot. lol theshark8777 01-17-2007, 08:19 PM I agree with you. TVFactFan 01-17-2007, 09:22 PM Do or Die Season for Marty coming Up TJ 01-18-2007, 01:02 AM He's had a lot of tough luck in the playoffs. Who can forget those Browns games against the Broncos. You can't fire a coach who just went 14-2. One of these years his team is going to go further in the playoffs and possibly win a Super Bowl. Mr. Television 01-18-2007, 01:38 AM I'm glad Marty's coming back. He is a class act. He's just had a lot of bad luck in the playoffs and yea he did make a few bad calls. It's hard to fire someone who went 14-2 during the season. Their are a lot of teams that would take that. Plus they didn't lose to a bad team. They lost to the Patriots. |
