I lettered three times in Marching Band, but I never got the jacket. I think it looks kind of dumb to have a Band Letter. I was one of the only people not to get one in band so I kind of regreted it. This year I wasn't in the Marching Band because I was kind of sick of it so it worked out not getting one. Just wondering who lettered and inone and if you got the jacket to go along with it.

I did in middle school. I have a ton of letters from high school, but never felt the need to buy a letterman jacket. People here, girls especially, don't really wear them.

Yes I got one but I think I got to wear it for about 10 days before my girlfriend Hijacked it. Probably half of the football team had to get replica Jackets because our GF's stole ours.

In my school it seemed more of a status thing for the girls to have one, to most of us it was not that big a deal. You "lettered" for games played and our coach was pretty good about getting everyone into games until the playoffs. I am not positive but I think the whole team lettered for football.

I have one for being in Business Professionals of America for two years.

No way. A, I thought it was a waste because there was no way in hell I would have worn it after HS, and B, our school colors are fugly. I got 4 letters (academics, drama, choir, and speech) and 4 or 5 bars (lettered again in the same thing), but my mom framed them instead.

Ditto. Same for my class ring. I now kinda wish I had never bought it. I wore it my senior year and like the first two years in college, but then I realized I was the only lame one who did that. A diploma is enough to show I even went to high school, not like it means much anyway today.

I got a letterman my freshmen year for band...but then we moved like 4 months later, so I never got to wear it.

Sophomore year, my parents bought me a new one, and I wore it all through high school. The day I graduated, I stopped wearing it (and the school ring). It's cool to look back at it and think about high school, though.

At my school, in band, if you participated in marching contest, solo & ensemble contest & concert contest, you got a letter. So I got one in my freshmen year. I already had the jacket, so I just sewed on the letter. After you got a letter, the other 3 years you just got a pin to put on your letter.

I wanted another letter for the other side of my jacket. Since I wasn't athletic, my friend & I decided to join Brain Bowl, where you went to other schools and competed against them with trivia questions. So I got a letter for that, too.

I think I still have them somewhere.

I was supposed to get a letter for Student Council with 4 bars, a letter for National Honor Society with 2 bars and a letter for Academic Decathalon.

I did get my jacket, but they messed up my letters. They but it all on one letter. In retrospect, it's probably better that way. Otherwise I'd be walking around in a black jacket with "K" "K" "K" on it. :rotflmao:

I still have my jacket, and I still wear it when I go back to town for football games.
