Wow I think Vince McMahon has surpassed Don King as the sleaziest promoter ever. Not sure if it is going to satircal or if they are actually going to show up.

The Brash Billionaire vs. The Left Leaning Lesbian
Written: January 8, 2007WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has never been so proud to present live on Raw the “match” – Donald Trump vs. Rosie O’Donnell.

“This is the equivalent of Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H, Stone Cold vs. The Rock, Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant,” McMahon said.

Using his vast influence, Mr. McMahon contacted both parties last night and both agreed to meet in the ring to settle their issue once and for all. When reached for comment, Trump was characteristically blunt.

“I don’t back down from a challenge. Rosie may host The View, but the only “view” she’s going to be seeing is me beating her butterball ass.”

Miss O’Donnell could not be reached for comment. Sources say she was consulting with her personal physician about possible gastric bypass surgery.

From Hollywood to Wall Street to the Nation’s Capital, the scorching hostility between The Donald and the Entertainment Queen will have all eyes on the USA Network tonight. While no one knows who will win, one thing is certain: EVERYONE has an opinion.

Barbara Walters, Rosie’s co-host on The View, was adamant in her opinion, saying “I’m 100 percent behind Rosie. Donald Trump claims I can’t stand Rosie but nothing can be further from the truth," Walters continued. "Just because she’s brash, opinionated, steals the spotlight from the other women on The View, belches without covering her mouth and leaves the toilet seat up… come to think of it, I hope Trump wipes the floor with her. That way maybe he can tell her what I’ve been dying to - You’re Fired!”

Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh was reached for comment, and he stated “I can relate to both Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump. I mean, I’m overweight AND have bad hair. I see this match as a draw.”

Kevin Federline, a celebrity who has experience in the squared circle, had another opinion entirely.

“All I know is, I hope Rosie has the decency to wear underwear.”

And Paris Hilton had a unique perspective entirely.

“Wrestling? Is that like where the people fight each other? That is sooo barbaric. That’s what the dinosaurs did. Dinosaurs are stupid. What was the question again?”

The hype and animosity of this issue has reached unprecedented heights, all the way up to the President of the United States. When reached for comment, President Bush said, “I just hope this match ends definitively and soon. There’s nothing worse than a conflict that lasts and lasts with no end in sight and no clear exit strategy.”

With the nation’s appetite clamoring for resolution, Mr. McMahon’s plan to bring these media titans together is being hailed as a promotional stroke of genius.

“THIS is what America is all about,” the Chairman of WWE said. “Two out of control egomaniacs beating the holy hell out of each other. It will be brutal, it will be ugly, it might even be disgusting but it will be LIVE Monday Night at 9 p.m. ET on USA’s MONDAY NIGHT RAW!”

Donald is going everywhere bashing Rosie. He doesn't know how to give it up. He just keeps making himself look stupid. Did you see him on Letterman last night? Letterman even defended Rosie.

I don't claim to know a whole lot about professional wrestling, but I thought WCW was owned by Ted Turner.

I don't claim to know a whole lot about professional wrestling, but I thought WCW was owned by Ted Turner.

Vince Mcmahon bought WCW from Turner almost 5 years ago. He also bought ECW, and pretty much everything else out there.

I read on PW.com that this is going to be a storyline, where Vince and Donald will be starting a feud with each other. Apparantely NBC wants Donald to do this, and hopefully bring in new Apprentice fans. Btw, Trump stole that whole "you're fired" thing from Mcmahon. That's been Mcmahon's catch phrase since the late 90's.

Anyone else see Raw last week, when Vince Mcmahon called Rosie Yokozuna??

He also showed a picture of Yokosuna on the screen,

which is another reason I find it hard to believe that this is going to happen. I can't see Rosie coming on probably an impersonator, especially if they are going to play up a VM/DT feud.

haha

Most likely it's just going to be actors portraying Rosie and Trump..I doubt Rosie would want to have to do anything with the WWE.

But I admit last week that I laughed at the whole Yokozuna thing.

I am shocked that they could get away with that. It was an incredibly unfavoring satire. Sad thing is there are some people that probably believed it was real.

Trump will probably be real, Rosie will probably be a fake.

Could be wrong, but that's what I'm expecting.

Yeah, there's no way she'll be there. She'd be stupid if she did show up, cause like Seth said, Mcmahon and Donald are both hardcore Republicans. The two of them would have her for breakfast if she showed up!! (I smell a Rosie joke coming after that sentance). They'll probably just have some fat dude with a bad haircut come out and impersonate her, as Donald insults him. It'll probably be that big dick idiot, who always comes out in a thong, and dances for the fans. LOL!!

Chelsea

...What's sad is that I'm relieved they at least used a female for the impersonation.

The fans in the arena damn near rioted. Chants of "We Want a Refund", "We Want Wrestling", "Boring", and "TNA" (A rival promotion) were present from start to finish, and the biggest applause of the night pretty much just came from the thing finally ending.

Chad Michael Murray

That was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

It always annoys me when people think all wrestling fans are classless, trailer park sorts of people (we aren't), and now if this "match" gets any media coverage it's just going to reinforce people's opinion about it. It's an embarassing time to be a wrestling fan.

I watched ECW December to Dismember start to finish. THAT was the worst thing I've ever seen. And that's coming from a man who OWNS the original Coliseum Video copy of King of the Ring '95 (with 1995 King of the Ring MABEL [Now known as Viscera])

This was a VERY close second, and if this RAW isn't careful, it may go down as the single worst episode of RAW ever. And I'm NOT exaggerating.

It just may be. And judging from what I know about Khali, it's downhill from here.

Still not the worst WWE event ever - I think - YET. But if Cena/Khali IS godawful, it just might be.

At least D2D had actual wrestling matches though, no matter how awful the card or the matches themselves were. At least they were using actual Superstars, so in my book that somehow manages to work itself just above what we just saw...because there's no reason whatsoever in the world we should've had to sit through a wrestling match between impersonators of Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump.

And the thing that puzzles me is...WHY? Why was this even on here tonight? What the hell does WWE have to do with either of them, or the other way around for that matter? Everybody involved just fell flat on their faces for trying to create a "parody" or whatever they want to call it about things that not only don't involve them, but that the majority of WWE fans couldn't care less about.

We go from K-Fed one week to a fake Rosie and Donald the next week. I'm almost dreading the January 15th episode.

Chelsea
01-08-2007, 11:48 PM
Well, various rumors indicated some sort of Vince vs. Trump angle leading into the Royal Rumble, (with each backing a wrestler going into a match) so it's possible that they're setting up for Trump to get ticked about the impersonation, leading into the mini-feud.

From what I hear, Dave Meltzer once said that Vince just does what he thinks is funny and the writers try to cater to him rather than the fans.

Oh god, now they're showing a replay...just when I was trying to erase it from memory.

The Rosie impersonator has the same hairdo that Mankind was sporting back in the day.

Chelsea
01-08-2007, 11:52 PM
Vince may be a deluded egomaniac, but he IS a businessman. And when the fans are chanting the name of a rival promotion DURING a segment, WHILE your at ringside....that's not good by any stretch.

Lex Luthor

This is absolutley the worst Raw ever!

A 10 min match between 2 impersonators, fans booing and screaming "boring" all the way through. I am sure he got the ratings "today" but he is going to lose them "tomorrow" if he keeps putting this $#it on.

I would be furious if I paid money to be there (not that I would) this was the biggest crap show ever

Yeah, RAW isn't known for it's excellent storylines or wrestling. I didn't like tonight's episode, although I do admit I laughed at the skits before the match, which was just a waste of time. I'd rather watch Smackdown or ECW, though.

Yeah, that was a pretty horrible match to say the very least. Wasn't the worst I've ever seen though. I've seen actual wrestlers put on matches that bored me more, and even had some put me to sleep, so I give those two idiots credit for not boring me into total unconciousness. Still though, I hope to never see anything like that ever again!!

For what it's worth:
The Donald Trump impersonator was played by longtime Midwest indy wrestler Ace Steel. Steele is a Ring of Honor regular. He trained both C.M. Punk and Colt Cabana.

The Rosie O'Donnell impersonator was played by an actual wrestler. She is a Virginia-area independent women's wrestler by the name of Kiley McLean.
