For me, it would be The Trial of Henry Blake. treky 01-02-2007, 04:52 AM the pilot, when it first aired back in Sept. of 72. I remember it was on Sunday nights; right after a short-lived sitcom called ANNA AND THE KING which was a sitcom version of the movie THE KING AND I. tdf4077 01-02-2007, 12:50 PM did you like MASH from the start? hawkeye419 01-10-2007, 01:41 AM For me it was the pilot. That was the first episode I watched. I rented it off of Netflix because I was just curious about the show itself. From then on I was hooked. There's my story. Scoobiedoo30 01-15-2007, 06:20 PM The First Memory of M*A*S*H for me is when I watched it on WWL TV CBS 4 at 10:35 pm brgmgb 01-15-2007, 07:39 PM I know we watched it before this episode, but the earliest first-run episode I remember is when Henry Blake died. tdf4077 01-15-2007, 10:15 PM The First Memory of M*A*S*H for me is when I watched it on WWL TV CBS 4 at 10:35 pm Do you remember which episodes you first watched? Scoobiedoo30 01-15-2007, 11:30 PM no I do not remember the episode I just remember coming across M*A*S*H AT 10:35 pm Chocoholic 01-16-2007, 04:15 PM The first episode I remember watching and thinking "Wow! This is a great show and I'll have to watch more." is the Movie Night episode. The part where they all break out singing is one of my favorite moments. They just don't make sitcoms like they used to... tdf4077 01-16-2007, 07:08 PM The first episode I remember watching and thinking "Wow! They just don't make sitcoms like they used to... My fav episode :) Jaina 01-16-2007, 07:53 PM I remember when I was 3 or 4, my Mom, my Dad, and me were having stew for supper, and I was sitting on the floor at the coffee table and we were watching MASH. I have no idea what episodes I saw when I was that young, though I vaguely remember watching the credits. The colour of the show is my strongest memory: off green olive drab. JackTripper258 01-16-2007, 08:58 PM i can't remember the exact episode b/c i was little but i remember my dad being off work one day and i went in the living room and started watching it with him...from there, it's history Scoobiedoo30 01-16-2007, 11:33 PM I wish I could Remember The episode of M*A*S*H When I fround it on WWL TV CBS 4 at 10:35 pm tdf4077 01-17-2007, 10:03 AM See, I vaguely remember watching it with my parents and not liking it...but then, when I was in 7th grade, I watched "The Trial of Henry Blake," and absolutely feel in love. I think my problem before had been that I didn't understand it and I was looking for the same old type of humor that you find in most modern sitcoms (falling down clutzy jokes and sex jokes). But MASH was smarter. Once I figured that out, I researched the war and the the show more often (I guess I was a slightly odd 7th grader). I then decided I wanted to tape every episode (this was like 1993), and the first episode I taped was "Kim," which established forever Trapper as my favorite character (followed closely by Frank for some reason). retrochick9 01-26-2007, 09:37 PM I was never interested in it when I was a kid, probably because I didn't understand it. By the time the final episode came on, I think I was about 12 or 13, I was interested in watching the finale for some reason and really liked it! Talk about timing, lol. Now, that I'm older, I really like the show a lot. Kristen 01-27-2007, 03:15 AM My earliest memory of MASH is watching the show w/ my dad when I was like 8 or something. He used to work nights, and I used to stay up till he came home. I remember thinking they were in Vietnam, b/c that was the only war I knew about other than WWI and II. Of course, years later, I found out that it was about Korea, but it was influenced by the Vietnam War, too. |
