I think they were drawn that way to provide more contrast among the four
characters.

I think that Wilma and barney came from a certain tribe (redheads/blondes with small eyes), and Fred and Betty came from a different tribe (proto-Italians)

I nervery noticed that I have to check Tonight at 12:00 am when I watch The Flintstions.

You're lucky you even get to see the Flintstones. Even if it is at 12:00 am. I haven't seen them in ages and am a huge fan.
