Any theories what happened to her?

I don't know what to think about her disappearance,

1.She could have met foul Play.

2.She could be living on the streets,

3.She could have died by accident Overdosing on drugs and someone buried her.

She sounds like she wasnt playing with a full deck and had severe emotional problems. I think she probably got into prostitution and died from there.

Yeah, I think that she suffered a drug induced psychotic break, as evidenced by the extreme paranoia she was exhibiting. They said she had been taking meth, which can cause permanent brain impairment. I think she could have died by suicide, or simply was killed in an overdose of some kind. Sad story for sure.

I felt so bad for her poor mother when at the end of the segment, she's talking to her daughter, telling her that she loves her. :(

I think she could still be working as a prostitute somewhere and living somewhat decently. Maybe she's doing or did pornographic films.

I also wouldn;t rule out that she cleaned herself up and started a whole new life somewhere. She may not have wanted to contact her mother out of shame at how she wound up. Or maybe things weren;t that good between them to begin with.

OT-Am i sick or am I the only one that got turned on by that caricature Star Drew of herself in the segment! ;)

i agree...any update on her case? the drug/hooker scenario is my guess...the mental break down along wih drugs is NEVER a good mix. She probably doesnt even know who family is

Very sad case.

I strongly believe that Star became a prostitute to support her drug habits. Her paranoia may have stemed from drug usage. IMO, she is most likely deceased.

I think that for a period of time after UM profiled her case, she was probably still alive and had become addicted to drugs and/or caught up in the activities of some people of questionable character. However, more than a decade later, I think it's unlikely that she's still alive, but I really couldn't give a good, solid answer on which would be the most likely of the theories of death mentioned by other posters.

At some point, she could have changed identities. With her meth habit, it's almost certain that she would have been arrested if she survived. Has anyone thought of scouring the "Faces of Meth" website to see if she may have been arrested under an alias?!

All signs point to drugs. Everything about that segment points to drugs. Is anyone anything BUT paranoid when they claim the government is trying to kill them? Plus where she was living she wouldn't have a hard time finding them.

According to UM, Star became addicted to meth shortly before she disappeared. It's quite possible that she's still alive, prostituting somewhere, looking nothing like her former self because of her meth addiction.

I think it's possible that she may be alive somewhere, living on the streets or selling herself to support her habit. But I believe she is now deceased, probably at the hands of a pimp or from overdosing. Then again, she was looking to change her identity (more than likely from the drug induced paranoia) so there's also a possibility that she is living under a different identity.

I really hope she is still alive and got help for her mental state and her drug addiction. Meth can only lead to disfigurement and death amongst other things. Forgive me if I am having a blonde moment here, but why did she become hooked on meth in the first place?

according to UM, she began to associate herself with "the wrong crowd" and that's when they also reported her doing meth & prostituting

I wonder if Star's fears of being followed were real, or just a reaction to the drugs. Because obviously if they were real, she met with foul play at some point. I still think there's a strong possibility she's alive, living in a different state with a different identity. Reminds me of Brenda Heist, the mother who disappeared for over 11 years who was found to be alive living in Florida looking completely different than she did when she disappeared.

That's a great idea but would we even be able to recognize her after her taking meth for so many years? My best friends' daughter was taking it for about six months and when I saw a picture of her I didn't even recognize her, and this was a person I saw a lot. (Luckily she's clean now and back in college) So I think the chances of anyone not close to Star recognizing her might not be very good. Still, it wouldn't hurt to look the pictures over....you never know.

I have the same opinion on this case, just like many similar to it with regards to a missing person. We live in such a technologically advanced world now. If she was still alive, someone would recognize her. My guess is that she is dead. No idea how or why, but I doubt she is still alive.

I remember this one as well. I don't think she was thinking clearly and drugs have definitely involved. If she is still alive i really don't think she'd be recognizable after 15 years.

If she was becoming a routine user of meth, her appearance could have drastically altered within a few years, to where her own family might not recognize her. Someone left a comment (http://unsolved.com/comment/24699#comment-24699)on unsolved.com about Star being questioned at the store where she worked by police about a murder, and her friend Angel disappearing around the same time. If the comment is credible, her fears of being followed may not just have been paranoia.

The thing that makes me lean towards her being deceased is that her increasingly bizarre behavior (whether it resulted from using meth or it was an organic condition that the drug use was exacerbating) would have made her more noticeable. I'd have expected her to have been picked up by the police a few times, or at least have attempted to contact her family.

I have to watch this segment again, i can only remember bits of it. But i do agree with you about the part of expecting her to be picked up by the police or contact her parents.

Meth is a helluva drug. If she’s still alive and has been using all this time, she’d very likely be unrecognizable.
