Yup, she had the gun pointed at him for half the episode-lol And I know it was a Tag scene to this ep too because we never see Louise and Florence again after the Crazy Women leaves

My recollection is Florence and Louise didn't appear again after that.

They had to show Weezie again so George can taljk about his time with his old girlfriend. I know there is a tag scene on the DVD. CBS would not end a episode like that

I kept thinking abt this today and I am almost 100 percent positive it ended that way. I know that it seems odd, but that is my recollection. I even asked my boyfriend when he called me on his lunch (that's how much i was thinking abt it...LOL) and he says he remembers no tag scene.

Irene stop letting TV LAND take over your MInd-lol CBS would never ever end a episode like that without have Louise hear how the Evening went with George and his Old Girlfriend. That's way too incomplete and please don't let TV LAND make you believe that is the REAL ENDING-lol

Considering that there were no tag scenes after the first couple seasons I highly doubt that this show had one (this episode is from 1984). I've seen this in syndication and it ends with the woman leaving the ap't. The ending is quite effective as is. There are a lot of episodes that ended without a crisp neat wrap up resolution. Another episode like this is Ebony and Ivory- the first episode with Jessica- it ends with Louise and Jessica going off to play ball instead of Jessica playing in the recital and George is left up on stage stalling the audience talking about dry cleaning processes. The writer and director credits occur over the scene and there is no audience applause or the usual scene of the lake in Central Park.

The way TV LAND edits episodes, I won't believe that's the ending it until that season comes out on DVD or if I received the CBS episode in the mail.

reread your post #10...u said, DVD or CBS

Well, I already told you there was no tag scene, I stated I don't recall one and I was certain 100 percent...the poster was kind enough to verify that for me and now you can't admit that I was right. Sorry to say, not all episodes nor do all shows end the way we like or wish for them to end. Not everything is complete. The reason I know I was certain abt the scene not existing is because I had wondered, what would George have told Louise? The truth? Would he have lied just to spare her the details? That is why I was so certain and even though I may not remember every detail, I did remember this one!

Why do you need to see how it ends when someone already told you how it ends? (LOOK ABOVE AT THIS POST) Are you calling them a liar????????? I would take that as in insult...

He sais it wasn't a tag scene but until he watches it, we won't know if the ep ends that way. Maybe the person will notice that the episode is actualy longer on the CH version. It could have been years since he watched that ep

He said "It did NOT have a tag scene"...he is giving us info to something that is nagging you, the fact that there had to be a tag scene, that Louise had to have inquired abt the girlfriend...BUT SHE DIDN'T, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TAG SCENE, JUST AS I REMEMBERED.

Well Irene I just want to let you know that I'm not going to go by someone's memory of something that occured 21 years ago-lol Now if u said I remember recording it off CBS let me pull the tape then that would be something different but just for me to take someone's word based on memory for something that was aired 21 years ago, sorry can't do it-lol

I didn't say take my word, I said take the word of the person who has the COLUMBIA HOUSE version, the versions you yourself stated on another thread that DON'T HAVE EDITED SCENES. I know after my proving you wrong on the "moving on up" thingy still doesn't jive with you and my recollections of other stuff has no credibility...but when someone says they watched the COLUMBIA HOUSE episode and told you THERE IS NO TAG SCENE and it ended that way, why can't you just accept it???????

And besides, I did see the Jeffersons in syndication after it was off the air on CBS and those syndicated episodes WERE NOT EDITED...so it is not 21 years ago as you state. 21 years is when it was on CBS, but when it was in syndication THE FIRST TIME, they were not edited, cut, etc.

Well if that is the ending, that will go down as the worst ending of any Jeffersons ep

I caught this episode when it was half over. So, did George dumped her....for Louise? She had a tough life and blamed George and Louise? Pretty dramatic episode for The Jeffersons.

Ireneparalegal

No, in fact the lady dumped George for some guy with $$$$$. However, the guy with $$$$$ was a street guy, if you know what I mean. He of course didn't have $$$ forever, she had a bad life and she wondered if she had stayed with George, would she have Louise's life. George told her straight out NO!!! the reason being because he would have taken a different route in life and not be a rich business owner and he would have nothing to give her...much the reason she dumped him when they were dating.

Yeah I agree, the Jeffersons didn't have too many dramatic moments
