Does anyone know the name of the old fireman that Beaver used to talk to when he walked by the station?

It was Gus, the fireman, played by longtime character actor Burt Mustin.

Also -- "Pete" (Will Wright), another old geezer auxiliary fireman. Pete is the one who rescued "Puddin'" from the Cleaver bathroom at 485 Mapleton Drive.
