What does it take to get some recognition for this show? While I think that Tony Shalhoub is a bit funny, he's no Kevin James IMO. They used his "Pole Lox" scene to showcase him though, which was good. :lol:

Also to add a little more, even though I had my fingers crossed for him and wanted the show to finally get some recognition I knew he probably wouldn't come out on top. Too much darn politics.

This is one of those shows that may not win any Emmys in it's lifetime, but will have the glory of being rerun forever. It'll join the ranks of Seinfeld, Raymond, Friends and other modern day classics.

BTW, I love "Monk" and am glad Tony won. However, I would have enjoyed seeing Kevin James win.

I was going for Kevin James the minute I heard he was nominated. This show is hilarious...as are all of its characters, and Kevin is a natural at the role of Doug. Congrats to him for getting nominated, and I do think he deserved the win as well. I'm still a fan of the show either way, and plan to buy the next season when it comes out. :)

Yep, Leah looked really pretty-- best dressed, I'd say. Only a moron would put her in the 'biggest snooze' category. ;) Angelo was there, too, just haven't found any pics yet. He was lookin' good, and so was Kevin! :D

Sad he didn't win...I LOVED the episode they submitted for his consideration! One of my favorites of the season...the pole dance was hysterical!

And yet Julia Louis- Dreyfus won for "Best Actress in a Comedy Series"? :eek: Saw this on CNN's American Morning and was totally astounded. They'd rather give the award to a woman that IMO was at her prime on Seinfeld than in that crappy comedy that she won for. This further proves that the status of the Emmy's is in shambles. Julia Louis-Dreyfus can win for a crappy comedy that isn't even remotely funny (as is the majority of comedies that CBS shows on Mondays), but neither Leah, Kevin, Jerry or any of the cast gets any nods?

It all comes down to ratings when you are dealing with any type of awards show. Yes that may be your IMO that Dreyfus's show is a crappy sitcom,
but it was in the top 20 shows on a weekly basis. As good as we may think
KOQ is when the last time it was in the top 20.

King of Queens and Two 1/2 Men are the only good sitcoms on CBS.
