View Full Version : TV Knowledge Fan, Do you know anything about this Variety Show? TVFactFan 07-14-2006, 03:06 PM "The New Bill Cosby Show"-1972 on CBS I haven't started my research on this show yet TV Knowledge Fan 07-14-2006, 04:45 PM ..'TV Researcher'. It was an hour-long comedy/variety showcase for Bill, on Monday nights at 10pm(et). There were comedy sketches [including Bill's recurring character, "The Dude"], production numbers featuring Bill and his guest stars, and a supporting cast that included, Lola Falana, Foster Brooks {"The Drunk"}, Susan Tolsky {"The Plain One"}, Oscar DeGruy, and writers Pat McCormick, Michael Elias, Ronny Graham, Stan(ley Ralph) Ross, and Ray Jessel, who doubled as supporting players as well. And of course, Quincy Jones and his Orchestra. It only lasted one season- and I'm sure there are videotapes of most of those shows in a vault SOMEWHERE!!! :tv: TVFactFan 07-14-2006, 05:42 PM ..'TV Researcher'.
