this isn't a ranting and raving post, it's more for advice and reassurance than anything else :lol:

I really feel friendless right now. one of my best friends, Leah, moved this year, and i feel really bad about it since we were very close. my other friend hasn't answered his phone lately and i haven't talked to him for a while. as for my other friends, i haven't heard from them, and another one of my friends hasn't answered the email i sent him. in other words i rely on a few people to be my only friends, when i really wish i could make more friends so i wouldn't have to rely on so few people. i'm one of those people who has a necessity to talk :lol:

do any of you have advice on how to make some more friends, either here or in real life? any advice is appreciated :)

yeah and i have a new email address (at hotmail.com) and i only have 2 people on my contact list. :(

Yeah. Then I say something sarcastic and random to crack them up and BAM new friends.

I suggest you try a summer camp, I'm sure you can meet a lot of friends there and have a great time, than you can just ask for their email/phone number, keep in contact witht them. :)

i know how you feel, though, i just moved to a new town and had to leave all my friends behind. i haven't even really met anyone new since i've been here, so i get really lonely. at least i have barney, he's my imaginary purple dinasor friend. :D

yah, i have had people who would never normally talk to me compliment me on my clothes. just because i like fashion and stuff like that. but it's never really made me friends..

i can't get along with people my age and i don't talk to anyone who is older. plus i'm a social reject in every sense possible. so yeah, i don't have many friends. on the internet i'm a lot more outgoing because i could care less what people think about me on here.

Being popular isn't everything. I used to die to be accepted, now I could care less. All you have to do is learn to be self-confident and happy. Look on the bright side :)

When you greaduate from HS, you gradually start losing all your friends. To college, new states, jobs, etc. Guess I'm just used to it.

Plus I feel like Lauren. I'm a social reject too because many people my age annoy me, plus I'm not into partying at all.

Actually, I think a lot of popular people are very nice. Sure, there are some nasty ones, but I think the majority of them are kind, friendly people (and that comes from someone who is definitely not popular - I can't even get in with the out crowd!)

But yeah, Hollywood tends to depict popular people as being nasty and bullying the unpopular kids. That does happen, but most popular people are really nice. I think some people have the wrong idea about popular kids.

:lol: actually i find that a lot of shows and movies make it out to be that the popular people are only popular for the wrong reasons. especially on the Disney Channel. like on the Suite Life of Zack & Cody, London Tipton is only popular because she's really rich (and a hotel heiress) :lol: on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Hilary is popular because she's hot and acts like an airhead all the time. see what i mean? and a lot of times on shows i think the unpopular people are the ones who would be popular in real life, while the popular ones would be considered *******s at my school. :lol:

At my school, about 50% of the popular kids are nice, and the other half are stuck-up and jerks......but my sister is one of the most stuck-up, mean, rudest, popular girl you'll ever know! I make friends soooo much easier online cause obivously they can't see you, so they can't judge you really......plus I'm really shy and I hate going up to people and talking!
