View Full Version : Knicks Coach Larry Brown Fired, Replaced by Isiah Thomas
Pavan 06-22-2006, 01:31 PM The New York Knicks put Larry Brown out of his coaching misery Thursday, ending weeks of uncertainty by firing the Hall of Fame coach with four years and a reported $40 million left on his contract. President and general manager Isiah Thomas will replace Brown as coach.
dlemond 06-22-2006, 01:37 PM I abandon the Knicks at this point.
It's like the father who beat you is now going to raise your kids.
I'm not having anymore of this crapfest.
moeee 06-22-2006, 02:11 PM The Knicks still have major problems. Thomas as coach is not good and they have overpaid players on the team.
TVFactFan 06-22-2006, 03:10 PM I don't feel sorry for Larry Brown because he should have stayed his ass in Motown

He was pushed out of Detroit.
TVFactFan 06-22-2006, 03:22 PM He was pushed out of Detroit.
Only because he was trying to jump ship on the sneak tip
dlemond 06-22-2006, 03:28 PM Unless the Knicks make the playoffs - which they won't- I don't want ANYONE to start praising Isiah for leading to a better record.
Those "players" quit on Brown.
And Isiah is possibly the worst player turner coach/management ever.
Oh, hell. He is.

I actually think it started when Brown was rumored to become the President of basketball operations for the Cavs.
Scoobiedoo30 06-22-2006, 04:21 PM Now I herd on ESPN News that Larry Brown Retured

It started when Brown said coaching in New York would be his dream job

I think he would have much rather have been the GM in Cleveland.
He can have the GM job in NY as far as I'm concerned.
Just fire Isiah. He's done nothing but harm since he retired from playing.
Just check his track record.
