PZelda 06-14-2006, 10:52 PM I do too. Fortunately, there's online banking so I can check my current statement. I balance my checkbook every few days to keep it up to date. Before that, I didn't do too good of a job at balancing my checkbook and I would accidentally write bad checks. It's really helpful to be able to check your statement online to see which payments have cleared so that you can check it off in your checkbook. It's really not as hard as it looks...but I agree, it's not exactly a walk in the park. That's part of life though. passionsfan79 06-14-2006, 11:17 PM Very true I only wish our bank had something like that. Where we can doit over the phone and online. vienna waits 06-14-2006, 11:23 PM i balance my checkbook a couple times a month. it's not worth doing it after every purchase... i've never been remotely close to not having enough money. online banking makes it cake. dawsongirl 06-15-2006, 04:48 PM I don't see it as a problem. *shrugs* crystals 06-15-2006, 08:22 PM I don't really mind getting statements. I like to keep track of how much I have in the bank, so I know I'm not spending more than I can afford to spend. I'm a bit of a savings freak. MsOrange 06-15-2006, 10:50 PM solution: online banking! passionsfan79 06-15-2006, 11:16 PM I like to see how much I actually have to just that sometimes its a hassle for me lol. But its really not that bad though the last couple of months. AB 03-04-2007, 12:44 PM I like to keep mine up to date, don't want any bad surprizes. But it can be a real chore sometimes. Liza 03-04-2007, 01:40 PM This is the advantage of working at a bank. I can check what's going on in my account every day as it happens. If something seems strange, we can take care of it right away. Me and most of my coworkers have stopped getting statements completely. :) EmpressDR 03-04-2007, 02:31 PM My rotten credit Union's online keeps malfunctioning, so I'm going to choose another to bank in, just for the online crap alone. I am fed up. I used to balance my old man's checkbook, but for some reason can't balance my own. Maybe it's because it's so horrifying to me that I live on such short funds. I am on financial aid and loans to pay rent and credit card bills. I haven't been able to get a part-time job and maintain school at the same time. It makes me sick. :barf: :barf: cmcb06 03-04-2007, 08:09 PM I don't use a checkbook usually, and i keep track of my funds online. And whenever i am worried or want to check i either go online, or just call my bank and they tell me my availabe balance, what is pending etc. Holly 03-05-2007, 09:53 AM I hate doing them. pain in the Butt I had to redo my whole checkbook on the last statement because I forgot to add in alot of atm but i've been up to date lately so i should be good on the next one..:D dawsongirl 03-06-2007, 12:57 AM I don't see it as a problem. *shrugs* bah. Damn debit card and automatic withdrawls. I went $100 in the whole because I didn't write in 2 things. pissed: |
