I been watching the Mets a lot lately because The Phillies have been chasing them and it looks like I will be a Mets Fan until September. The only annoying this is it seems like everytime the Phillies lose, the Mets lose and win the Phillies win the Mets win but so far today the Mets are winning and the Phillies have already lost to the Nats. I'm hoping the Mets run away with the NL sometime in July

I think St. Louis will be in the mix and you can't count out the Astros. They seem to always make a late season run. If Puljos(?) is out alot longer than they think St. Louis could be in trouble. They've already lost quite a bit of games since he went out. Atlanta has been counted out before but this is the year that they don't make I think. Cincinati is playing waaaaaay over their heads right now. They were picked to be in the bottom half of the Central. Out West it will be a dog fight as usual. I think the Dodgers will come out of there. New York is strong! They will be tough to beat in the East. Have to see if Pedro can hold up all season though. Pitching may be their weak spot exspecially if one of their starters gets hurt.

One thing I will say about the Phillies is that they don't go away easily, that's how they got the nickame-"The Fightin Phils"

I forgot that they played a 1pm today and just found out the Phillies lost 4-5. Great News.

The Phillies will still have it hard the next few days. They just finished with the Mets and they got the Red Sox in Philly this weekend and the Yankees coming to Philly next week.

I would. They'll have to not only climb out from last place in their own division but also have a better record than the 2nd place team in one of the other divisions. The way they've played so far, especially during their recent losing streak, I don't think they'll make it. I'm looking at the Mets to lock up the East and for the wild card team to come out of the central division.

That's true, there is still around 90 games to be played this season for each team. But I do believe that this is the Mets' year.

I just checked, the Braves are actually tied with the Marlins for 3rd place after the Marlins lost the 2nd game of the doubleheader, but yes the Phillies are a game and a half ahead of both those teams.

This year is very weird. The Braves will not win their division for the first time since 1990, the Reds are about to clinch their first playoff birth since 1995, the Tigers are on pace to win 105 games. What's next, the Tigers winning the World Series?

They got Roberto Hernandez today from the Pirates to take Sanchez's place as their set-up man, but Hernandez is nowhere near as good as Sanchez.

I was surprised to see the Mets trade Nady. I bet he's pissed because all of a sudden he goes from being on a team that is likely headed to the World Series to a team that has been out of the running since April lol Now the Mets can use Milledge in right field - he's been better than Nady this year anyway.

I was surprised when I heard about the Nady trade too, not knowing what had happened to Sanchez and them suddenly needing bullpen help. They'll probably platoon Milledge and Endy Chavez in right. Endy's been good for us as well also.

Anything short of the World Series would be a disappointment for the Mets. I can't picture anyone beating them in the National League bracket.
