Yeah, same. I don't do the whole tanning thing...I'm dark enough as it is, since I inherited olive skin from my dad. I get a tan REALLY easily. The only tan I have is from biking, and I haven't been in a while. I don't lay out in the sun, and I sure as hell don't go to a tanning bed. I've never been to one, as a matter of fact. It's just not my thing.

I was outside in the scorching heat for like 3 hours on Wednesday, and I seriously wanted to die afterwards. Not cool.

I do wear sunscreen though, but I don't always remember to apply it. I need to remember to pick up some more sunscreen before I leave on my trip next week...I'm going to an amusement park, heh.

I just think tanning, in general, is stupid. Like going on the beach and lying out too. I don't have anything against you and Crystal, or anyone else in this thread that tans. I don't do it though. Like when we go to the beach, I chill in the water and then walk around. The tan I get is just from being out there. You know?

getting tan from biking is just as dangerous, if not more, than going to a tanning bed. a tanning bed is a controlled environment, you know exactly how many UV rays you're being exposed to, while outside you don't. if tanning, any kind indoor or outdoor is done in moderation and responsibly you shouldn't have any problems. its the people that work outdoors that dont put on SPF that get skin cancer. i mean to say people who are tanning are stupid must mean everyone is ********, unless you're going outside every day with spf 60 on.

I emailed the director of housing because I've yet to receive anything as to who my roommate is. She tells me she hasn't found anyone yet and that she's waiting to see if some more upperclassmen transfers need housing. She also said theres a list of other guys who need roommates that I could look at to see if I know anyone. I know one person on the list. Sort of. Like we're facebook friends and we've probably talked a couple times. He seems cool and I'm sure I could get along with him. So now should I wait it out and just take a random roommate or should I go ahead and take the next VERY awkward step and email this guy and ask him to be my roommate? TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

I agree. That's how I feel about my roommate. I know her enough to know she's not insane, but it's not like we went to HS together and we're all BFF. I'm sure it was weird for her to email me and ask me to be her roommate but I'm glad she did. He's probably waiting for someone too.
