Funny, I only recall his last tv appearance on Jeffersons. I never knew he was anything else (comedian, music, etc.) I don't recall anything else of him growing up. Of course by 1977 I was 12 and there wasn't much info to look into like nowadays with so many channels on television, computers, etc. I wonder where he is now and what he looks like now.

I was the same way. In 1979, I was 12. I watched the programs back then, but didn't know jack about the actual person porttraying. Him especially.

He was also a stage emcee in Sanford & Son's episode, "Brother, Can You Spare An Act?" (or other one like it), where Fred's brother-in-law Rodney appeared with his jokes & whatnot.
