This is just my opinion, but I found Pearl the maid to be so annoying and unfunny. She definitely didn't have the character or personality of Edna or Adalaide.

Mary Jo played a snooty neighbor and suspicious neighbor in Serial Mom and I still see that character inside of her everywhere. Does not matter if she played a different character, it is like a mirrored image. You can see the same character in her, no matter how different it is. I don't know if that makes any sense, but that's how I see it. I don't hate the character, but it is exactly the same role she played as the third maid a bit.
