Would you date someone who used to be gay but is no longer gay?
_________________________________________________________________

All I can say is that I used to date someone a long time ago and he turned out to be gay. I was so mad; not because he's gay but because he didn't tell me right away. Now, I'm with someone who I know is not and never will be gay so I am not worried. People should come right out and say it.

You can go from gay- straight and straight-gay. It happened with my mom's friend. She was originally straight and eventually turned gay and moved in with a woman.

She was probably really gay and was just hiding it.

wouldn't being able to switch back and forth be considered bisexual?

but to answer the original question, i probably would date a girl who used to be a lesbian, but dump her if i thought she still was. :)

It was something that was always in her, There no such thing as having bad experiences with men and then say-"well let me try women now"-lol

My roommate dated a girl in college who "switched sides" a few years after they broke up. I guess that lifestyle change didn't take because she went back to dating men, and eventually married one.

I think people have two sets of rules when it comes to this type of question.

If a guy was "involved" with a man at one point, then he's gay, and he will always be gay even if he is dating a woman now etc.etc.

If a girl was "involved" with another girl, it's called "something I did in College."

;)

there's a difference between being attracted to a certain sex and preferring to date a certain sex; if you are attracted to both at any point in your life, you are bi.

Hmmm... this brings up another interesting question - would you date someone who is bi? It's sorta like asking the same question, in a way.

I have to agree with those who have said that sexual orientations aren't a choice. That's so true.

Now that's a good question. It depends on the extent of what he had done with other guys. I actually had to deal with this in the early part of my relationship; while he is not bi he had kissed a guy in the past. I was able to accept that and deal with it. Had it been anything more then relationship would have ended then and there.

My experience is kinda bass-ackwards--

When I was 16 I dated a really cute 17 yr old guy; we "went steady" for almost a year. It got pretty serious; we had our marraige and life together all planned out; we sent romantic cards to each other all the time, blah blah blah... One thing, though--he seemed to turn off whenever I wanted to go "park" or make any moves towards him, physically. I thought guys at that age would enjoy a cute 16 yr old girl pawing all over them (not him!)--I was starting to get a complex!

We broke up; years later, I found out he eventually got married and left his wife-he left her a note saying he was gay and always has been, and that he was tired of living the charade! It all made sense then!

Hi Karen! See above.........

Now..... When I was single I use to get hit on by gay men friends. I guess they wanted me and eat their cake too. ;) But in my heart I couldn't go with them. so my answer is No....

Used to be gay?  How can you "used to be gay?"  You can't switch sides. This is not Democrat/Republican. You can say, "Long live George W.Bush! He's a good man!" Okay, HenryJack was on the other messageboard where they wanted to sign a petition against me...................After I confessed to being HJ last year, someone from that board came to SO either late last year or early this year(after finding out that I was on SO), and impostered Janice Johnson, and put the name HenryJack as thier name..... They impostered me(Janice Johnson) to a tee, even using my Cookie Monster Avatar. It's one thing to imposter a poster within the same messageboards website that you both post in, but it's another thing to "stalk" them to another messageboard website and imposter them there, when the two of you don't post on that messageboard website.

I only impersonated two people on that other board............. The first one I impostered was wrong................ I thought impostering her would be fun..... She is a huge hater of Lindsay Lohan(The queen of hating LL) and I decided to create a personality that had her name in it and say that she was a huge LL fan and loved her to death and that all fans should be happy to be LL fans........... The joke was on me in three big ways. She was on vacation while I impostered her, and the third way was that there is a join date for every poster and everybody saw that this was an imposter, since my "Impsoing ID" JUST came about a day or two ago at the time........ The third way was that another poster was going around making multiple ID'S, and people thught that my imposing ID was involved with her multiple ID's, and I quickly changed the Impsoter ID to the "Imposter ID's email address name and said that I was not involved in this poster's ID.............. I apologized to the LL hater...............

The second time I impostered someone he kind of deserved it. He was being a real bitch to me and an a****** to me, so I decided to create an ID that said that he "loved me" and thought I was great and apologized to me. That account was banned in about two days once posters again matched the dates......... I apologized to him though I said that he kind of deserved it.

When I was in the sixth grade, a boy hit another boy in our class and our teacher said, "What goes around comes around. You will be hit twice for your once punch to that boy." She is talking about Karma, and according to her, you get hit twice as many times as you hit a person. Hmm.
