Wasn't pinwheel a PBS show?? I'm not sure if it was PBS or Nickelodeon, but I loved that one!! Other good PBS shows:

Lamb Chops Play Along (Loved the theme song. I still remember all the words!!)
Mister Rogers Neighborhood
Reading Rainbow
Barney and Friends (Yes, I was addicted to this show at 12 years old. LOL!!)
Sesame Street (Before the theme song changed)

There was also a show with Bill Cosby that I liked alot, where he'd draw pictures with a big loud marker. I can't remember what it was called though.

Pinwheel was on Nickelodeon. In fact it was the show that launched Nick in 1979, back then it was called the Pinwheel Channel :)

Picture Pages with Bill Cosby!!!

(and Mr Wizard I remember was on Nick as well!)

I watched Sesame Street, Barney, Reading Rainbow and Storytime on PBS. I enjoyed Nick more though, Maya the Bee, Noozles, Eureka's Castle, David The Gnome and other shows.

I watched Reading Rainbow with my sister but most of the others are before my time. For me PBS is Magic School Bus, Arthur, and Carmen Sandiego but one show I saw in reruns that I liked was Ghostwriter. I did see Mister Wizard's World on Nickelodeon though, it came on after Rocky and Bullwinkle.

I don't remember watching many kids shows on Nickelodeon. I guess I had outgrown them when they were on.

I watched YCDTOTV all the time though!

They are now, but they use to be much more similar with the types of shows they played.

I remember some of those! Fun times....

A couple of other childhood PBS shows I enjoyed were:

-"Ramona" (from the Beverly Clearly series)
-"Dr. Who" (when it would re-run...ahhh... loved those Peter Davison/Tom Baker episodes!)

I remember the original Zoom.
The original Zoom was the bomb!!!!! the one they did a few years back sucked. Also, Degrassi originated on PBS...i can't find any info on this...my daughter was shocked when I told her abt this. The fact I can't find any info on it makes my case weak! Anyone remember the ORIGINAL DEGRASSI on PBS???? back in the mid 70's?

Oh thanx for the link!!! I had been searching for the ORIGINAL. No one believed me when I told them. It was 1976, somewhere around there. I remember a character being pregnant, and some character named Wheels (?), not really sure.

I remember watching Size Small on PBS. It has all these weird characters like a dancing spoon and fork and I think a dancing record(?). Anyone else remember this show?

Also, I remember some shows called Square One and The Bloodhound Gang. They still out in my mind.

It was a British show on PBS in the 70's. I haven't seen it since I was a kid.

Was "Ramona" show based on the Ramona Age 8 book series? I remember reading a book series in second grade called Ramona Age 8. I don't think I've ever seen the tv show though..
Yep! It was based on the Ramona Quimby books! Very cute show! Too bad it only lasted about one season. It starred Sarah Polley ("The Road to Avonlea" series) as little Ramona. I loved watching the show after reading those books. They were also some of my favorite childhood books, too. I would like for it to be released on DVD.

Here's the link from IMDB's site:
