Agreed! The show in my opinion started to lose steam in the mid 90's. By the time it moved to CBS, it was way too silly.

See when I was watching FM growing up I did not mind it being the Urkel Show well until all of that invention nonsense. But now watching the reruns I actually enjoy the first couple of seasons when it was more about the family and Urkel was just a side character.

When Urkel was a featured (but not the main) character, I thought the show was great. I agree, the first season or two was very solid. However, you could tell the show was not going to last long without Urkel coming in and saving it.
