Hell Yeah!!!! I can only speak for myself, but shyness in a guy is a major turn-off. I like a man who is sure of himself (not someone with a huge ego), someone who loves to talk, LISTEN, ask questions, an inquiring mind, someone who is educated, etc. Shyness comes from junior high, get over it.
I'm no dating expert, but shaking and fidgeting is probably not the most attractive traits to display to a prospective mate.
Unless the girl is a cokehead or something..
;)
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 03-12-2006, 04:31 PM Aw, no, I think it's cute. Maybe not to an extreme but yeah...
Fonzarelli 03-12-2006, 04:33 PM Why always the 21-years border?

Because Shyness doesn't look as bad on a 16 year male like it does on a 27 or 28 year old male.

I have a friend who is a couple of years older than 21, and he is VERY shy and anxious. I can definitely see a lot of other interesting qualities (like sharing knowledge and interests) about him that would make him a great date despite his shyness. I think those good things would override the shy physique. ;)

It's just that in practically every thread about 'are you attracked to...' there seems to be a 21-years or older-border. It just seemed odd to me.

Well when I set an age requirement it doest mea that people under 21 can't respond. It just means that I really would like to know the opinions of S.O. members in my age bracket-(21-30) for certain topics.
Sharop 03-12-2006, 07:30 PM It wouldn't turn me off. I too think shyness is rather cute. But then again, I'm very shy myself, so maybe I'm biased in favour of shyness.
Living In a '70's Dream 03-12-2006, 09:05 PM I know a lot of men, who are shy and they are older than 21!!!; they are too scared or intimidated to approach a woman. I tell them, hey, most of the time, a lady is NOT going to approach you, so you HAVE to make the initiative!, and I think all of us are afraid of rejection or we are afraid of not making a decent first impression, so in that way, we are a little on the shy side...
TripperFan 03-12-2006, 09:53 PM I dunno, but peeing your pants is a definite no-no!

Are you back or just visting?-lol
dawsongirl 03-12-2006, 11:16 PM Hell no. I'm hugely shy too, so I find it adorable if a man is shy. It's overbearing confident types I wouldn't go out with.

Shyness has nothing to do with age, and everything to do with personality and self-esteem.

I agree
*MIBabe03* 03-13-2006, 03:51 PM My boyfriend was shy up until we met. Now when we are together, he has no problem talking to others at all.
KayCee 03-13-2006, 03:54 PM Nah, it doesn't. I'm in a similar situation where a guy who liked me was too shy to ask me out lol. Either way, if a guy is shy, it makes me MORE comfortable not Less because I too am shy lol.
