I can only speak for myself, but shyness in a guy is a major turn-off. I like a man who is sure of himself (not someone with a huge ego), someone who loves to talk, LISTEN, ask questions, an inquiring mind, someone who is educated, etc. Shyness comes from junior high, get over it. I can definitely see a lot of other interesting qualities (like sharing knowledge and interests) about him that would make him a great date despite his shyness. Well when I set an age requirement it doest mea that people under 21 can't respond. I tell them, hey, most of the time, a lady is NOT going to approach you, so you HAVE to make the initiative!, and I think all of us are afraid of rejection or we are afraid of not making a decent first impression, so in that way, we are a little on the shy side...
