I was wondering if Project: ALF is worth buying on DVD? Is Project: ALF any good? I was thinking about maybe buying Project: ALF on DVD, but I would like to know if its worth the buy and if its any good.

I was thinking about maybe buying Project: ALF on DVD, but I would like to know if its worth the buy and if its any good. tv star collector 01-24-2006, 08:51 AM Although only ALF from the original cast is in the movie "PROJECT: ALF," my sister was surprised by how good the film was (when it first aired). I wasn't as surprised, because I knew ALF was the real star and was confident that he could carry a feature-length movie (if it had a good script), with or without the Tanner family. Luckily, "PROJECT: ALF" has a good script. A brief synopsis for the 1996 comedy: the Tanner family has been relocated as part of the witness protection program, and ALF has spent the last six years in a maximum security psychiatric facility honing his entrepreneurial skills. (Look for everyone's favorite Martian--Ray Walston--in a cameo as a hotel desk clerk.) The supporting cast also includes Martin Sheen and Ed Begley, Jr. dave insinga 01-31-2006, 06:29 PM that was a good cast someone other than ALF should have been included it was a so so script .i would say its missable An 80s Guy 02-02-2006, 10:45 PM could you buy it in stores Better Days 02-06-2006, 02:47 AM I expected it to be a typical cheap TV movie. But I really liked it. Same old ALF, and it was really funny. Big ALF fans should see it because it wraps up the "cliff-hanger" ending that the series had. tv star collector 02-06-2006, 09:06 AM I expected it to be a typical cheap TV movie. But I really liked it. Same old ALF, and it was really funny. Big ALF fans should see it because it wraps up the "cliff-hanger" ending that the series had. I'm glad to hear that someone else liked it. staypuftman2004 02-25-2006, 04:24 PM I thought it was pretty good insurancemike 02-27-2006, 08:58 PM yea i agree. it was pretty good for a tv movie livsforluv 03-09-2006, 12:16 PM Where can you find it now? staypuftman2004 03-09-2006, 05:19 PM Try Amazon.com tazz765 03-20-2006, 09:56 AM I bought mine at Amazon when it was first released awhile back. Scoobiedoo30 03-25-2006, 05:30 PM When Project Alf comes out I know I would Buy the Movie. browneyes106 03-30-2009, 12:45 AM I will be buying it sometime soon. Scoobiedoo30 04-03-2009, 04:05 PM Let us know what you think. Mister Show 04-07-2009, 01:51 PM I already have seasons 1-4 and this reminds me that I need to pick this up as well. Jessica 04-14-2009, 08:24 PM The TV show is so much better then the film though^^ :) Jack Gomez 06-19-2009, 05:53 PM I enjoyed it somewhat. There are some really funny bits in the beginning like when they are doing tests on ALF. It was great that they got Ray Walston and I really like the lead actress Jensen Daggett. Max Wright should have been in it though. He was so funny on the series and was sorely missed here. Jessica 06-19-2009, 05:57 PM Yes, I enjoyed it too, but it does not have the same quality as the TV show though. bencasey 12-31-2011, 02:17 PM The one part I remember that still cracks me up is when the dykey officer is questioning him and he tells her, "how's don't ask, don't tell working for you?". hawkeye123 08-01-2012, 11:41 PM I just watched the final episode. I mean I had seen it years ago. But that's not right how they ended it. I actually just heard about project Alf and, was kind of wondering the same thing. Does it give closure to the series? It looks like most of you liked it, if it didn’t have Willie Kate and, the rest of the clan. That is kind of sad but I still want to see what happens. I missed it back in 96 because I was a teenager and, I was just so caught up in hanging out with friends. blairmusica 10-16-2012, 09:07 PM I would say yes, it's funny and some talented people are involved-Martin Sheen, Ray Walston and Miguel Ferrer, George Clooney's cousin by the way, it bears no real resemblance to the TV show though. GSU2004 10-17-2012, 01:11 AM Admittedly, I skipped it in 1996 as I found out none of the actors from the Tanner family was going to be in it. I think I remember some of them lamenting on the fact they were not invited to participate in the production. |
