View Full Version : I can't stop crying
Number 9 Dream 01-23-2006, 05:36 PM I haven't seen the Goodbye episodes yet, but I just got done watching the episode where Bridget breaks down because she realizes her Dad would've stopped her from walking out in that skimpy dress.
The pain was so real for them...you could definitely tell the acting had stopped and what they were portraying on screen was genuine. I can't stop crying. This hurts so much.
Buffyboy323 01-23-2006, 06:23 PM Yeah that was really sad...When she walked to the door and her head went down, I was like "Oh no".....And the episode after that was even better. When the girls are fighting and they tell each other how close each of them were with their dad. Really sad....I think the show did a good job of not forgetting their dad, without making it really sobby and whiney (Full House).. They never forget their Dad, and that's important. Most shows when someone dies, it's a big deal at first, but then they're never spoken of again....The episode should be coming soon when Bridget goes for the school play. That's a very sad one too.
JackTripper258 01-23-2006, 07:30 PM I think the reason why they don't treat it as a big deal at first then let it drop is b/c John was VERY close to each of them. They couldn't just say "Oh well, it's over" and forget about it. The characters actually had to grieve it out just like they did in real life. I mean you can tell those tears they are crying are real, not fake.
It does make you sad though and make you wanna cry. I missed the episode at 4:00 but at 4:30 I watched that one and how bad Bridget felt for ruining Kerry's collage. I am so much like Kerry in many ways it's not even funny. I was sitting there almost yelling at 'Bridget' like Kerry was because she was saying that Kerry was closer to Paul then she was and she didn't even realize how close they were too. Everyone of those kid's were close to him in their own way, they just didn't realize it till then. That's what is so sad. I now try to compare the things that I'm most like with my parents because I don't want to realize it after their gone.
Chain Gang Member 01-24-2006, 07:38 PM I sometimes feel like I'm about to breakdown when I see that episode or Eddie Guererro's tribute video, but if you watch it over and over again, you can take it
KristenJ 01-24-2006, 07:49 PM OT: I love the name change Kristel! :D
But yea I couldnt stop crying too. When Cate went up to see the girls and they all hugged and Cate was saying stuff like "We lost him" "He's gone" and "He's not coming back", that really hurt hearing that. I totally lost it. Like whenever I see a picture of him in the background, or in one of today's episodes when they showed his empty chair at the table, it just hurts. :( For a long time I really thought I was ok. I wasn't sad anymore, I didn't even miss him cause it feels like his always here with us. But seeing this show again just brought back all the pain like it was the first time.

Thanks, girl :D I'm lovin' it too.
Anyway, I totally agree. I thought I was going to be able to handle it, but I just ended up breaking down. This is the first time for me viewing 8 Simple Rules, so it's kinda hard.

Mrs. John Ritter 01-25-2006, 06:28 PM I can't stop crying either. Everyday when I watch 8SR I cry over something that is brought up. I am very emotional during these episodes.

I agree. I couldn't stop crying during the Eddie tribute shows. Especially the tribute videos.

OMG I love those eps!!!
You mean like the one where they go to the cabin? Or when Bridget leaves the rose by his picture and says "Goodnight"? Or how about the red dress one??? My god that was sad.
Dr. Will 07-20-2006, 07:53 PM I love this show and I think that they handeled the death on the show very well. It was so sad, but it wasn't overly depressing.

I don't even remeber these storylines. Maybe I should rewatch them.

I'll let you know when this episode is coming on again. Probably in about 3 weeks. ;)
They just started season 1 over the other day.
Scoobiedoo30 08-23-2006, 01:00 PM I know when I watched The Goodbye Episode on The ABC Televison
I could not stoped crying as well.
RoryGilmore 07-03-2007, 08:30 PM Yeah they just showef this these past two days on ABC Family and I bawled through them:crying: So well done the pain from the death seem so real, I'm sure it was, seem like there wasn't much "acting" needed for it. Very well done I was impressed.
JulieSomoski 07-06-2007, 08:19 PM These episodes could just be about the saddest episodes ever done on any television series. Absolutey phenomenal! And, I love how they span the whole thing like over 6 or so episodes. Most series deal with major deaths with a 2 parter, and that's it. Very well done!
Scoobiedoo30 07-06-2007, 08:25 PM I still cry when I watch 8 Simple Rules
