In fifth grade I was the spelling bee champion in my grade.
In seventh grade we had at my school a day called "Field Day" and all the students participated in all kinds of physical games; me and my best friend won the "ski contest" and we both received blue ribbons.
In 1988 I won a radio contest to attend a private party with the then Los Angeles Raiders.
I also won tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Sea World from the radio.
I won a third prize in a raffle but I can't remember what the prize was:confused:
In college, studying to be a paralegal, I was on the honor roll every quarter. When we graduated I received honors and I was also bestowed with a plaque for perfect attendance.

Well, I won the 6th grade spelling bee back in 1994. I was a 2.0 student, and I beat all of the 4.0 students. That felt really good.

I was also one of a select few people in my middle school to win an athlete of the year award. I won it in the sixth, seventh, and eigth grade.

Lets see, what else?? Well, this wasn't really an award, but I did have the longest long jump, and the highest high jump in my 6th grade class. I jumped 14 and a half feet long, but I can't remember how high I jumped. All I know, is that the class had to stay in gym, as the bar was raised higher and higher, until I couldn't clear it.

That's all of the achievements I can think of right now. If I think of anymore, I'll post them up.

I won a spelling bee in 4th grade, I won musical chairs at a Halloween party when I was a kid, and I won $330 dollars off of a 3 way number lottery here and I won a few bucks off of various scratch offs.

Thanks, that picture was taken about 2 weeks before she died. She LOVED her blankets. It could be 100 degrees outside and she would be under her blankets. She was a really cool dog.

Once I was at Six Flags and I threw a quarter unto this heart-thing and won a LIFE SIZED BUGS BUNNY. It was so cool. Also, in fifth grade I was the girls paddle tap champion at field day. But yeah, I definately cheated.

Last year I won an award for maintaining an A average for all three years of middle school. It even had a fake George Bush signature and I got a medal. Mhmm.

When I was in first grade there was this thing called the Southern California Exposition. From what I remember (this was in 1992) there was an art contest. I painted some random stuff and when my teacher asked me what it was, I replied, "Potatoes." This was because some time earlier my family and I were visiting someone (I think it was my oldest sister at UC Santa Cruz, but I can't remember exactly) we had breakfast at a restaurant and the potatoes they served were green. The painting I made had green ovals.

I got in second place but I can't , nor does anyone else in family family, remember if it was overall or for in one area.

I didn't really win anything until I went to my alma mater. It was a private school for students with learning differences from the 3rd to the 12th grade. It's called The Winston School and it is named after Winston Churchill. I made it on the honor roll one semester or marking period (can't remember which) in 8th grade, my first year. This was all during the trouble I had that year (too long a story).

In 2000, I won the Progress Award. It was basically an award for improving myself in academics and other stuff. In 2001 I got the Honor Roll Award the Study Skills award. It was in that same year that I started playing on the school softball team. I only played in three games.

In 2002 I won the Student of the Semester Award and the Public Affairs Forum Award for my work in the school debate. It was also that year when I was the starting catcher for my school softball team. I was an outfielder the year before in my three games and the first game that year but my coach switched me to catcher. The team won the championship and had an undefeated season each year I attended (1998-2003). To be fair, though, it was mostly because the other teams were not as self-disciplined as we were. Some didn't even try.

I also played in the postseason double header in 2002 and 2003 and there is nothing like the feeling of having your teammates mob you after making key plays at the plate to end a rally in the postseason.

In 2003, I won the Publications Award for my work on the school newspaper and yearbook. I also got what is called the "Sarita Doyle Eastman Loyalty, Spirit, and Service Award." I was also elected Student Body President my Senior year in high school.

My father told a story of a prize he won in the early 1990s. We had a Boston Terrier named Jesse. My father won a radio contest and he got dog food for him. When the person asked what the dog's name was, he replied with his nickname for him, "Buttface."

  how did you cheat?

My best friend at the time was manning the paddle-tap station at field day, so she let me slide a few times when I dropped the ball. At the end we said that I got like 1,000 taps or something ridiculous like that, but I was really out at like 250.

Psh, I'll always be the champion. It's only considered cheating if you get caught.

I called in with the correct answer because no one else could get it and so it annoyed me to the point of calling. I didn't even know what the prizes were for the correct guess.
