Has to be when the Doobie Brothers come to play and Rerun bootlegs the show. Classic '70s. Would give anything to see that one again!

I am pretty sure that two Doobie Brothers songs featured were: "Black Water" and "Takin' It To The Streets." I'm not sure if there was another.

THE DOOBIE BROTHERS EPISODE!!!!!And it was Takin It To The Streets because I can still see them all dancin to it in my mind!!!!What a great one that was. Another good one had Dee hanging out with a little boy who would make up stories about how bad his home life was (mother drank/made him stay under the kitchen sink)and then she realized he was getting the stories from TV movies he'd seen that week!!!!

My favorie is the one where Rerun joins the football team and gets a swelled head around Raj and Dwayne...then has the gall to turn around and ask Raj to help him with his schoolwork before he gets kicked off the team.

Another funny one was the one where Rerun joined a dance group on tv, and the only reason they wanted him was to make fat jokes. His friends help Rerun get revenge by substitutung Raj...whose dance move were weak!!

And then there's the episode where the fellas steal a blouse for Raj's Mama's birthday...

Slammin'!

Now that I think of it, the first five or six episodes of "What's Happening?" are the funniest, really...Raj got into REAL trouble with his Mama, Dwayne is as dumb as a post, and Rerun was always trying to pull a scam on somebody...and Shirley didn't take no guff off of anyone, either!

Favorite is the Duke Morgan Gang! Thought this was funny as a little kid. The way the repair man says it like he's out of breath is funny.

The Doobie's performed, Black Water (from What were once vices), Takin it to the Streets (from same title) and an instrumental at the concert. The instrumental is not on any album. At the rehersal they played Little Darlin and Echoes of love, from Livin on the Fault line.

I like the one where the guys steal the surprise test from Miss Collins' desk and they get suspended from school. And the episode where they steal the shirt for Raj's mom's birthday.

Raj: Hello lucky 7's!
Rerun: Helloooooo Mrs. Thomas!

My favorite is the one where Dee films the jackass meat hamburger commercial. I laughed until I was in pain watching that one.

The Doobies episode, The Rockers episodes, the trick on DEE (you a nice little boy).

There are some things that have tripped me out. In the Doobies episode when the recorder fell from rerun, notice how silent the entire auditorium got. And they were all looking at Rerun, LOL. You mean to tell me everyone in the place knew what Rerun did, front and back.

The blouse episode, why would they take the blouse and run directly into the officer? Didn't they know he was there? Wasn't Roger supposed to be smart?

I used to watch it all the time but I was too young to understand and remember the episodes.

Other than the Doobie Brothers, I liked the one where they submit a fictional story about 3 street kids to a television studio or publisher, then, later they see that story being dramatized on television, *without* their credit. That one was kind of surreal.

the trick on DEE (you a nice little boy).

I completely forgot about that one. That is a classic line. I can totally picture that in my head now. I don't have have the DVD's for these yet, so I'm going off memory.

Some of my favorites are:

The entire episode where Shirley makes the cookies. I know it had Big Earl in it, but there were some great lines in that episode.

* Shirley is signing autographs on the bag for the Italian guy and he's like Polliotti. After a few times of not being able to spell it correctly Shirley says "man if you don't get those cookies out of my face" and throws them away across the store.

Funny things in the Doobie Brothers episode:

* Shirley comes up to the guys when their sitting in the front row and says "geez, how did you get these great seats?" If you notice she goes about 3 rows back and sits down, hehehe.

* "Brother Bruno will you please pull up a chair" Bruno rips the bar stool right out of the floor. Raj with a bewildered expression for a few seonds "So, you say I push this button right here?"

* After the cops come in and arrest the bad guy(forgot bad guys name, Al Dunbar I think) They play the tape and all that's on the tape is Rerun eating popcorn. Al says " You mean I'm going to prison and all I have to show for it is a fat kid eating popcorn?" Raj says, oh no there's music on there and than you hear Raj singing "Fly me to the moon"

The episode where Dwayne dates the girl with the hot headed boyfriend:

* Dwayne is at the soda shop with the girl and Darryl comes in. After some time someone says "Come on Dwayne teach him a lesson." Darryl says "Yea, come on Dwayne teach me a lesson." Shirley steps out from the background rolling up her smock " You want a lesson sucker?" Darryl just turns and looks at her for a second and than Shirley says "I got some dirty dishes in the back" and walks away real fast.

* When Darryl and Dwayne are standing face to face and things are heating up Raj stands up pulling his pants up real high " Look Dwayne" like he's going to intimidate Darryl with his 100 lb body :0

There were so many great episodes. It got a little lame at the ende, but there are still some good lines even in the newer ones.

I would have to say- The Best one I really enjoy is the one with the Givens kids- BUBLIN BROWN SHUGAH! AH- the end is a little corny but I like it- that show has a very energetic flow-

The Doobie Brothers one is good-

The one where they have to sneak into the school to trade their teachers present is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite episode was when Rerun joined the religious group "Baba Ram Baba" and began to worship Ralph, the head of lettuce. Totally hilarious!
