I have been feeling really depressed myself the last couple of weeks. However, I have a long history with depression. Even though I take medication I still can have bad days or even bad weeks. And the past few weeks have been pretty difficult.:(

I get depressed a lot, mostly around the holidays...then again, I have dsythmic depression so I really can't blame Christmas on that one. Hmm, maybe spending some time with family and friends might help? :)

This season always puts me in the same blue mood. I really dislike it. If I didn't have any kids I'd probably wouldn't even celebrate Christmas.

I used to adore Christmas. I would start my shopping in September and decorate like a madwoman. I was known for my love of Christmas. After a series of losses in my family over the last three or four years, I can't stand Christmas.

I go through the motions, and I bluff it well. I decorate, shop and entertain, but truth be told, I wish I could wake up tomorrow and have it be January 2nd.

Thats the way it is for me. This was my Mom's favorite Holiday and her birthday is Tuesday so I always feel blue at this time of the year. This time of the year used to be a magical time for me but it it isn't anymore.

I know how you feel. Today is my mother's birthday. Holidays are never the same without your parents.

Christmas music is tough to listen to, especially certain ones, like Oh Holy Night.

Yea its really hard. I used to go Christmas shopping like crazy and I would decorate but about all I put up now is a Christmas tree.

My Mom's favorite Christmas song is Silent Night so thats hard to listen to.

No more or less depressed than any other time of the year. More annoyed maybe. The holidays always seems to bring out the worst in people. Or maybe that's just my impression of it.

Christmas isn't my best time of year, either.

I'm trying not to show it, but I am because a girl I met lives 800 miles away, and we hardly ever talk anymore.

Guess it's nice to know I'm not the only one who goes all emo in December.

I suffer from depression to begin with, and it does not take much to set me off .I do not dislike this time of year, actually I look forward to the New Year, where I can plan something new with myself and my life.

Haha, same here.

I'm feeling a little bit outnumbered here...

I really don't like this time of the year. But it's a good excuse to get terribly drunk and forget the past year.

Last year it was so bad, that I got sick of looking at the Christmas tree 'the day after' and took it down that same day.

No different than I feel any other time of the year. I'm never completely happy.

I love to shop. Love it. But at Christmas, when I get to shop all the time and buy gifts for people, I get easily annoyed and pissy. I just spent the last 2 hours looking and price comparing books online and I now just want to forget the whole damn gift thing.

I really hate this time of year. It's not just solely the Christmas season. It's more like various things. It's just sooooo many things that my brain seems to reflect over from my life during this time of year. It's harder to feel an utmost happiness. It's darker at an earlier time, it's colder outside, things and people I care about seem different to me.... The latter may be because of my mood.... It's like that Bearenstein Bears story where the kids go out to some open area and everyone looks "mean" and has these "evil eyes" on them and it's just scary. That's how I am feeling around the people I care about. They seem "different" to me, and I am just more prone to being more sensitive than usual, it seems. I do not know, but it's still depressing.... I guess that's why I never look forward to Christmas. It just seems to happen at the same time that my brain associates Christmas with this depression. Oh, I could go on and on and write about this.... *sigh*

I'm feeling down and not in the christmas mood too much because this year has been a pretty bad and sad year with the loss of my mother and my boyfriend's brother; also his father came very close to dying but he's ok.
