The episode in question is actually a 4th season episode, "My Son, The Father". She was talking about catching a cold from a guy named Keith, but she got distracted from the smoke from the beans burning, and hung up.

It may as well be Keith. I would assume that he and Thelma would have known each other for at least awhile before deciding to get married.

When he met Keith in Season 6, didn't he and Thelma say they'd only known each other a month?? Or maybe they'd only been dating a month. If that was the same Keith on the phone in Season 5, maybe they were only chatting as "friends" (with Thelma glowing). In any case, they never said what Keith's last name was in Season 5, so it's open to interpretation. :lol:
