However, when and why would both JJ and Thelma get a driver's license?!? It just didn't make any sense. Why would either one of them get a license to drive?

Well lots of Jobs today in 2005 require you to have a Driver's License but I don't know if it was like that in back in 1977

there's something abt owning a car and having the freedom to go when you want. We had discussed how abt the licenses. We came to the conclusion that there was drivers education in school. But we didn't know how they got the actual license since you need a car to go driving in at the DMV.
