had to wear braces? I had braces at that age and it was no big deal. No one in my school cared, no one made fun of me, it's just a normal thing that some kids go through. I feel like (looking back) they made braces seem like these horrendous things to have on your teeth.

Even Carol said "she only has to wear them for a little while". That was a very short little while, one episode. In that scene in the bathroom with her and Cindy, you can see that whatever they used for the braces, wasn't on her teeth properly; when Marcia smiled, it looked like only half the 'braces' were there.
