View Full Version : What do you and your friends do for fun?
Number 9 Dream 11-28-2005, 09:27 PM It seems like my friends and I go out to eat more than anything...lol. Sometimes we go to Applebees, other times a diner. It depends on our mood. There's also the movies, which we go to at least once a month or watching DVDs at one of our houses (which usually means talking and laughing throughout the whole thing  )
Oh, and something special we do whenever we can-- fondue! There's this really cute place called Toast where we live and we usually splurge on the $25 dollar chocolate fondue, which is really fun to split between four or five people. It ends up being about $5 a person and it has strawberries, bananas, graham crackers, rice crispie treats, apples, pineapple, etc to dip in either white chocolate or dark chocolate. We do that every so often...it's soo much fun. It's probably hard to find a place that serves fondue (since it was mainly a craze in the 70s), but I'm sure you can find a place near you that might do it. It's a lot of fun.
We drink and make fun of each other on websites.

Kidding. We shop, go for lunch or dinner and go to the movies.
EmoJoe 11-28-2005, 10:46 PM Go to the park, go to each others houses, go to the mall/movies, go to the pizza place..ice cream place

My parents wouldn't let me stay out at public places with just my friends until I was almost 15.
Anyway, my friends and I are all poor college kids so we don't like to do anything that requires spending money so we normally hang out at someone's house.
Karen* 11-29-2005, 12:38 AM We go to the mall, hang out in San Francisco and other parts of the Bay, watch movies, and hang out at each other's houses.
Hollow 11-29-2005, 12:59 AM they count on me for entertaining them in class. art is the best, i'm not intimidated by anyone or anything there. i'm always yelling stupid and irrelevant comments and questions to the teacher, making everyone laugh, fiddling with equipment, bouncing around the room and just being an ass. that class rules. everyone loves me. i'm same way in choir, but i support that class and there's less things to do in there so it's not as bad.
and of course there's hanging out on myspace. if you're on my friends list and read my bulletins, ya enough said, they always come to me the next day and be like "OMFG I READ YER BULLETIN THAT WAZA SO FUNNY!!11!" haha i have so many comments on my page from people in choir saying how much fun i am in that class.
swedeace 11-29-2005, 01:35 AM I don't "hang out with friends in person" as often as I'd like to. When we do we usually go out to eat at a restaurant or socialize at each other's home parties (usually birthday parties).
dawsongirl 11-29-2005, 04:27 AM I don't "hang out with friends in person" as often as I'd like to.
I don't do it at all. All my friends live in different states.
Mrs. Ducky 11-29-2005, 05:33 PM Well, it varies with which friend I'm with. If I'm hanging out with my friends Virginia or Brittany, I listen to them talk about how they can't stand another one of my friends. If I'm with my friend Rachel, we go hiking or play truth or dare or listen to her recite The Lion King word for word. If I'm with my friend Karli, we sing songs from musicals ("Good morning starshine..."), pretend we're from the 1920s, or make up sitcom episodes using ourselves as characters. With Leah, we usually bother this kid on the bus (his name is Peter), make fools of ourselves, play with stuffed animals, ask random people on the street if we can take a picture with them, and stuff like that. And if we're all together, we just talk.
InspectorExstead 11-29-2005, 06:28 PM Well, now that most of my friends have gone off to college, I only have a few close friends close to me. We try to do a movie night once a week...it depends on how much energy we have. One of my close friends and I go to Starbucks/B&N at least once a week and just sit and talk. Movies and dinners are done occasionally (it's too expensive being college students!). Oh...and the beach. The beach is an absolute must.
MaydayMalonesGirl 11-29-2005, 06:49 PM We ALWAYS go to the movies. I hate it. It's way to expensive... $9.50 for a ticket plus another eight bucks if you want popcorn and a soda. It's ridiculous. I'd rather stay home and watch something, atleast that doesn't cost anything.
cralappyhappy4 11-29-2005, 07:43 PM we just get drunk....all the time.....certain friends i drink outside with.....and the rest only will drink in a house......
I go bowling. Considering I want to go pro, I can use the practice:D

I wish I had people to go bowling with. I haven't bowled since high school.
Mr. Stefani 12-01-2005, 10:09 PM party, go to bars/clubs, on non-party nights drive around make our own fun(those are the best nights man)...
*MIBabe03* 12-01-2005, 11:40 PM I don't have any friends now, so nothing.
Number 9 Dream 12-01-2005, 11:43 PM on non-party nights drive around make our own fun(those are the best nights man)...
Seems to be a Long Island thing, cause my friends and I do that a lot too :D
CollegeDropout 12-02-2005, 11:12 AM I usually end up in my bestfriends basement chilling down there, but generally we try to get a house and drink...but its not always that easy, easy to get alcohol, hard to find a house, but when that falls through there is always just hanging out at friends houses, movies, shopping, boston, bowling...its alright
Bootsy Whoosh 12-02-2005, 02:02 PM I loooove going out to eat. I wish we had that Toast place near me! I love fondue, it's my favorite food. We do have a place called The Melting Pot but it's really fancy and expensive. Toast sounds more casual. There is a small chance I might be moving to Long Island next year, I'll have to try to remember this place if I do!
Anyhoo, I also like going out to bars or clubs if I'm in the mood. Movies, of course. Two things we always talk about but never do are having a Sex and the City watching night and having dessert nights where we just go out to a restaurant and get dessert.
Unfortunately me and all my friends have extremely hectic schedules and our schedules are always different because we're all scattered about the hospital in different areas, so it makes it really hard to get everyone together.
Oh and I have one friend I go shopping with. Usually I just tag along because she hates doing stuff alone. I don't usually buy much.
