He knows, he's just being a dork  Mr. Television 11-28-2005, 02:19 AM i dont care how much he giggles when you tickle him, I still think that Grover kicks his ass. Without a doubt. The Chauffeur 11-28-2005, 03:55 PM I personally love what's out in the "emo" genre right now (I'm currently burning a hole through my Death Cab for Cutie - Plans CD as we speak ) I don't really get how people are discovering emo like it's a new concept. Back in the 80's when I was in school, we called the Cure emo. MaydayMalonesGirl 11-28-2005, 04:18 PM I personally love what's out in the "emo" genre right now (I'm currently burning a hole through my Death Cab for Cutie - Plans CD as we speak ) I don't really get how people are discovering emo like it's a new concept. Back in the 80's when I was in school, we called the Cure emo. Is Death Cab really grouped into this genre? I automatically associate emo with bands like Hawthorne Heights and Senses Fail or other bands like that. I personally hate it. Not necessarily the music, but the whole emo style. It's such bull****. I do like a few bands that I guess could be considered emo, like Bright Eyes and Saves the Day. The Chauffeur 11-28-2005, 04:39 PM Is Death Cab really grouped into this genre? I've heard a lot of people group Death Cab into emo, I dunno, maybe we're all idiots  I guess the changed the rules or something and I missed it. Last I remembered Hawthorne Heights were in that silly bubblegum punk wannabe genre. At least that's what they are known as in their hometown which is also my hometown. I agree it sux. But Bright Eyes, I dunno what to classify that as, it seems almost industrial. Which isn't a bad thing at all. And I do agree the whole style thing is pretty dumn. The funny thing is the style fro the emo thing then is considered goth now. Go figure! EmoJoe 11-28-2005, 04:42 PM fallout boy bright eyes Hmm I sort of like Fall Out Boy MaydayMalonesGirl 11-28-2005, 05:22 PM I've heard a lot of people group Death Cab into emo, I dunno, maybe we're all idiots  I guess the changed the rules or something and I missed it. I'm horrible at trying to put bands into certain genres. The Chauffeur 11-28-2005, 05:26 PM Yeah, I'm not completely sure how it all works either. I'm horrible at trying to put bands into certain genres. Me too when it comes to emo, and I actually used to work for a radio station! it's totally different now. Courtnee 11-28-2005, 06:16 PM I guess I'm emo  I love teh music!! AllIWantIsYourClutch 11-28-2005, 07:13 PM Mmmm emo. I pretty much hate that word a lot because it's associated with sitting in dark corners wearing black, writing poetry and slitting your wrists....but I really like the music. Most of the bands I listen to are probably considered "emo," though I'm really bad at classifying music into genres too. |
