Kind of a stupid question but Why do people get so upset when other users bump up threads? It's not against the rules to bump a thread, is it? Every thread that has been bumped has the minimum of 3 replies saying "Why would you bump a thread from 3 years ago??! Or something like that. Well, it's just a question :D, I don't care if anyone replies :lol:

if someone has something important to say i think it's okay to bump a thread. but i think if you're looking at an old thread, please do us a favor and check the date before responding. :)

Create a new thread on that topic, I guess. If its a few months old, then its ok to bump it up, but anything past a year old is ridicolous. Not to mention 2-4 year old threads.

Yeah but if its from a few years ago it doesnt really matter if its a same topic. If its a month or so ago, then yeah. It just gets annoying when you come to SO and see a thread from 2001 on here- and the reason it was bumped up is because someone wanted to state that pizza is their favorite food.
