I put the DVd on the counter and the cashier showed the other cashier and they were acting surprised I was buying Three's company. But I wasn;t ashamed at all because I started laughing with them and told them I'm a diehard Three'e Company fan and doesn't care who thinks it's silly. And before i left I told them they should give the show a try. No one is ever going to make be feel bad about what I LIKE!!!!

The same thing happened to me too, Soloman...a young girl working at the register at FYE was trying to hide her laughter when I asked for it. WTF? I just thought to myself that she doesn't know what she's missing ;)

My mom even makes fun of me for liking three's company-lol. She feels it's a FEMALE show kind of like Friends.

There was a time when my sister came over checking out my dvd collection, and when she came across Three's Company she said "Three's Company???" as if what are you doing with that show? Some people out there just don't know it's a classic show with a large fanbase.

You were a closet TC fan to me because I never knew you liked the show. Probably because I never saw you post on the TC board.

That's true I don't post on the board that often, but I do love the show. Same with the Jeffersons and What's Happening, I don't post on those boards much. It's a habit. I'll try to show up on the TC board more often.

Well I'm surprised that she laughed because if she is that young she would have never heard of three's company. Like my little brother was born in 87,never heard of three's company.

that's crazy...obviously it must have been a young cashier. Man, Three's Company was THEE SHOW of the 70's. And I was so glad when it came out on syndication. I got to see it again and again. My daughters think the show is cute.

I agree. And to all who had a problem getting your copy of 'Three's Company', don't pay any attention to any of those cashiers. Although, I bet if you were getting something like 'Sex In The City', or 'Friends', they wouldn't be laughing. I myself, find those kind of shows, senceless.

I haven't picked up the DVD yet but I can't believe all those cashiers. I am 16 and I have been watching Three's Company since I was like 12. I don't get how you could not have heard of it before. I will be getting a job at Best Buy and I won't give people a funny look when they buy it, chances are I will start a conversation with them if nobody is behind them in line. On the other hand if somebody bought the OC or Nip Tuck I would give them a weird look. I am with you Auntie senseless.

Some people in our generation are sadly misguided. I'm 18 and I've been watching TC since I was 12. It happens to be my FAVORITE show of all time! I'll be getting my DVD tomorrow after I get my paycheck, lol. :D

I have never had a cashier laugh at any DVD I have ever bought. For one thing it is very rude. And I never thought of TC as a female show. When I was in school it was the show to watch and believe me, their was just as many Male fans as Female.

i agree DallsCowboysFanatic...it's very rude to laugh at somebody for their choice of what they are buying. It's not your business. But anyway! I can't wait to get it too! It's going to be great!

Back in the dayz, I had worked as a cashier for a video/music store and this white guy (around 45) came and wanted to exchange his Pam Anderson VHS tape he received "as a gift" and exchange it for "Black Beauties". The guy I was working with kept elbowing me while I did the exchange. When the guy left, my co-worker busted out laughing. I asked him what was so funny, he said he had never ever known a guy to "return" or "exchange" Pam Anderson.

I cant believe that the cashiers laughed at you. Dont pay any attention to them. The are total idiots. They dont know good classic TV. When I got my copy on Tuesday the cashier was really wierd. All of their DVDs were behind a glass case, and when I told him I wanted Threes Company Season 5 he brought me a copy of Seinfeld. I said no Threes Company season 5. He went back and brought me a different copy of Seinfeld. I was ready to scream. I said "THREES COMPANY SEASON 5. ITS IN THE PINK BOX ON THE BOTTOM SHELF." Then he finally got it right. I couldnt believe him. He was so wierd.

I meant to say "They are total idiots." Instead of "The are total idiots". In the post above. Sorry.:talk:

I'm surprised I haven't gotten a reaction like that from a cashier yet when I buy the Three's Company DVD sets. If I don't see it on the shelves, then I go and ask an employee to find me a copy. Most of the time they don't even know what "Three's Company" is. I'll ask them to find me a copy of the new Three's Company DVD that was just released, and when they repeat "Three's Company", they pronounce it wrong and say "Three Company" or something similar to that

I am the kind of person that if a cashier were to laugh at my purchase, I would never shop there again. And I would indicate so in a letter to the management.

I would definitely have a talk with the manager and then take a break from shopping at the store for awhile.

When I got mine on thursday, the guy just helped me find it and just handed it to me and said "here you go" I said thanks and went up to the cashier, she just scanned it,my gift card,my reservation slip and my batteries which came to a total like $8.64.I gave her a $10 and some change. She gave me back $2,put them on some kind of device to not make the alarm go off,put it in the bag and I left the store. So none of the employees bothered me about it.They just helped me out.You should go to that store when seasons 6-8 come out:D

I feel ya. I'm a diehard Andy Griffith show nut. I own the first three seasons. However, I found mine on eBay and not at the store. Knowing me, I would've told those cashiers to shut the f*** up and give me my change. Don't worry about what I watch.
