TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 12:48 AM A$$!!!!!!!!!!-LOL Damm, what a way to lose a football game. On a 2 point conversion. But you have to blame the Skins defenders for jumping off sides so they could block the extra point-lol Now the Skins are 5-4 with the raiders coming to town next week.
isiahthomas 11-14-2005, 03:55 PM The Redskins really didn't lose the game because Mike Alstott didn't get in the end zone at the end of the game. I don't know how the referees say he did get in but he didn't. They showed the replay 3 times and from what i saw, the ball didn't cross the goal line. The referees are so f*ckin blind. They make so many terrible calls.

Well he looked like he crossed the goal line to me. With that second effort he landed right at the goal line and the ball crossed the line. But still the skins are the blame for jumping off sides. If they never jumped off sides they would have gotten the ball back with 58 seconds and the game would have been tied at 35 instead of them being down 36-35.
isiahthomas 11-14-2005, 04:21 PM The game wouldn't have been tied if the Redskins didn't jump off sides because the Redskins had the lead 35-34. The ball didn't cross the goal line when Mark Alstott had it. Trust me.
TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 04:27 PM The game wouldn't have been tied if the Redskins didn't jump off sides because the Redskins had the lead 35-34. The ball didn't cross the goal line when Mark Alstott had it. Trust me.
This is what I'm saying, Since the skins were so aggressive in trying to block the extra point they jumped off sides which cause the refs to throw a flag and move the bucs closer to the goal line. So since they were now on the 1 yd line, gruden decided to go ahead for the 2 pointer to win the game instead of playing for OT. Now if the skins never jumped off sides, there wouldn;t have been a flag and the ball would have been on the 5 yd line which was too far to go for a 2 point conversion so they would have just kicked the extra point and the game would have been tied at 35.
isiahthomas 11-14-2005, 04:30 PM How would the score have been tied at 35 if Tampa Bay had 34 before they scored the 2 points to get 36?
~LadyJess~ 11-14-2005, 04:34 PM How would the score have been tied at 35 if Tampa Bay had 34 before they scored the 2 points to get 36?
Tampa Bay had 33 before they got the 2 point conversion. The final score of the game was 35-34.
TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 04:37 PM How would the score have been tied at 35 if Tampa Bay had 34 before they scored the 2 points to get 36?
Ok listen, the Bucs was down 35-28 right? So then they threw a TD and scored and then the score was 34-35 and the Bucs were getting ready to kick the extra point to tie the game at 35. But when they went to kick the extra point, the skins jumped off sides and was hit with a 5 yd penalty and that moved the bucs to the 1yd line. So since they were only a yd away from the endzone, gruden said f*uck it let;s go for the 2 and win this sh*T. So that's when Alstott scored to make it 36-35. So I was just saying the penalty is why the bucs went for 2 instead of 1. Hope I was clear
isiahthomas 11-14-2005, 04:38 PM The score was 36-35. Tampa Bay would've still won the game if they would've been trailing 35-34 if they would've kicked a field goal so either way the Redskins would've lost.
isiahthomas 11-14-2005, 04:40 PM Oh ok. I see what your saying now. The Redskins shouldn't have jumped off sides. When that receiver for Tampa Bay scored to make the score 35-34, the guy who was defending him for the Redskins did a terrible job covering him.
TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 04:58 PM Oh ok. I see what your saying now. The Redskins shouldn't have jumped off sides. When that receiver for Tampa Bay scored to make the score 35-34, the guy who was defending him for the Redskins did a terrible job covering him.
Exactly so they shouldn;t be mad at the refs, they should be mad at the three players for jumping off sides so they can block an extra point which only would have tied the game at 35 not won the game-lol That's why I didn;t understand the agressiveness when they were going to get the ball back with 58 seconds with a tied game. The skins was acting like they were up 34-28 instead of 35-28.
Brian Damage 11-14-2005, 05:07 PM I am convinced, the Redskins are a very overrated team.
TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 06:31 PM Tampa Bay had 33 before they got the 2 point conversion. The final score of the game was 35-34.
LadyJess you know nothing about football. The bucs was down 35-28 and scored a TD and that gave them 34. Since when is scoring a TD 5 points? so if that was true that means the buce would have lost. What the hell are you talkin about? They had 34 with the TD and the 2 made it 36.
Mr. Television 11-14-2005, 06:36 PM I am convinced, the Redskins are a very overrated team.
I agree.
TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 06:40 PM I agree.
Since they beat the Eagles I wouldn't say they were overrated. They lost that game yesterday because of a bonehead play of trying to block a extra point-lol

I'm sorry but when someone thinks you get FIVE POINTS for scoring a TD in the NFL i can't let a statement that silly go that go easily

I'm sure it was more a mathematical error than thinking a TD is 5 points. I can almost guarantee Lady Jess doesn't think a TD is 5 points. (although in Detroit they haven't seen many of them in recent years, so who knows;))
PS: I miss Barry Sanders!

Well she must think it's 5 points because she said the bucs had 33-LOL And then she said the wrong final score which was 35-34. The final was 36-35

Now lets use some logic here. She had the final score wrong, that is why your calculations only came up with 5 points for a TD. Besides she never said what the score was before she said the final was 35-34, therefore you really can't figure out what she counted the TD as.
Anyhow I just don't see why you have to jump down people's throats when they say something wrong, but I guess that's your M.O.

What i want to know is, why was Kool called an A$$?????
theshark8777 11-14-2005, 07:09 PM What i want to know is, why was Kool called an A$$?????
I think because the Redskins pretty much blew the game.
And it said feeling like ass, not being called an ass, there is a difference.

Ireneparalegal 11-14-2005, 07:11 PM thanx for clearing that up...still, I am sure Kool didn't like it.
Mr. Television 11-14-2005, 07:14 PM If the Cowboys blow the game against the Eagles tonight, thats how I'm going to feel like.

Wow, I leave to go to class and come back to this. Ok, yes I got the final score wrong, sorry. It was 36-35. I (obviously) know that a TD is not worth 5 points. All I was doing was agreeing that the Bucs went for 2 and ended up winning by a point instead of taking the extra point and going into OT.
TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 07:19 PM Garfieldkool is under his covers right now crying his eyes out-lol

That's not obvious to some people.

LOL-ok well I apologize for my post, I thought i had to take your NFL fan membership away for thinking a TD was worth 5 points-lol

Trust me, if I ever think a TD is only worth 5 points, I deserve to have my NFL fan membership revoked.

GARFIELDKOOL 11-14-2005, 08:08 PM I am convinced, the Redskins are a very overrated team.
Brian Damage, you are a hater! Your Giants had no business losing to the Vikings! That's overrated if you ask me. You just don't want to accept the fact that the Skins are competitive in the NFC East! You and Solomon are giving all the props to the Cowboys! The Redskins will beat the Cowboys and the Giants when they host them next month, and that's a promise!
GARFIELDKOOL 11-14-2005, 08:11 PM I agree.
And so are the Cowboys! That's why the Eagles are going to hand them their asses tonight!
GARFIELDKOOL 11-14-2005, 08:24 PM Well he looked like he crossed the goal line to me. With that second effort he landed right at the goal line and the ball crossed the line. Mike Alstott did not cross that line, and I am not saying that because I am a Skins fan! The Redskins shouldn't have jumped off sides early, and that's what pretty much did it, but he didn't get into the end zone. His ass was stopped So the Redkins should have won 35-34. We have to cut down on those costly turnovers and stopped the pass better, we have been getting beat on the pass lately. But I am proud of my team. We are playing very well, and we may not do anything this year, but we will be ready next year.
Mr. Television 11-14-2005, 08:41 PM And so are the Cowboys! That's why the Eagles are going to hand them their asses tonight!
Oh really. What do you base that on, Since we destroyed them the last time we played. We might lose but I think the teams we beat which include The Giants and the Chargers go against that.

I don't like the Eagles no more than you do, but I think they will be fired up tonight. They were contenders before T.O. came.
TVFactFan 11-14-2005, 11:00 PM I don't like the Eagles no more than you do, but I think they will be fired up tonight. They were contenders before T.O. came.
Garfieldkool you better worry about the Raiders next week-lol

They are celler dwellers now.

First of all, The Raiders ass will be grass. Secondly, I notice you don't have anything decent to say about the Skins. Especially Brian Damage. I see he didn't reply to my comeback. But he don't know jack anyway. Secondly, if I didn't know any better, I'd swear you and him are a closet Cowboys fans. YOU better be worried about the Eagles next week. Yes, they are done for the season, but just remember, ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY!

First of all, the Giants not only beat the Skins, but they shut their asses out. The Redskins are overrated. They may be a little better than last year, but not by much. The Giants are a much better team than the Redskins. But like you said, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.

You call scoring 35 points against a good team like Tampa Bay overrated? We beat Dallas, Seattle, and Philadelphia...decent teams. That's not overrated. You just don't want to admit that the Redskins are competitive. I can assure you, when your G men visit Fed Ex Field, payback is due!

garfieldkool the skins are defintely still in it for a playoff berth. They won win the division but they are defintely alive for a wildcard spot
GARFIELDKOOL 11-15-2005, 01:33 PM garfieldkool the skins are defintely still in it for a playoff berth. They won win the division but they are defintely alive for a wildcard spot
I think you meant WON'T, not WON! Thanks, all I asked for is a little credit. We are on the rise, but we are not overrated. We are playing well and we haven't played this good in years. We are a borderline wildcard team, I called us boderline because we need to cut down on those costly turnovers and penalties. But take all that away and we're up there.
We were overrated over the years because I hated Daniel Snyder for trying to buy every player on the team. You can't buy a superbowl, I hated when he was doing that. But he backed off a bit and now we just need to continue to play well and finish off teams especially on the road.
