I am guilty of these...:(

I also over-use the "things happen for a reason" quite a bit. I have used "time heals all wounds" quite a bit earlier last month on a friend after an almost-threatening friendship conflict. :eek:

I can't think of others I have over-used. I'm sure they're out there... Hmmm.... *thinks*

ooooh yeah, that one pisses me off sooooo bad...i have legitimate reasons for being upset abt something and if it's important to me, it shouldn't be made as if I have no reason whatsoever for feeling that way.

I don't know if this falls in "cliches" but I hate when men say, "it must be that time of the month!" Hello F*****R, just because I am mad or angry abt something doesn't mean it's that time of the month. If it is that time of the month, I just happen to get ANGRIER, but it doesn't lessen my reasons for being mad.

That reminds me of two ladies I know who hate and cannot stand the word "yeah." They say there is no such word other than its slangy meaning and say "yes" is the correct way to say something. "Yeah" gets to them and have taught their children NOT to say it.

I totally agree with that one!!

To me these are more cliche sayings, not just regular cliches. For me I think what's totally cliche is when like every person names there dog TOBY!! GRRRR, I hate when people name their dog that because EVERYONE names their dog that. Apparently you don't want to be unique and different. I will never name my dog that just because that is the ultimate cliche dog name!

Yeah, I've gotten that one a bunch of times. I always hated "Wait till your father gets home." or how bout this one. "If you don't knock it off back there I'll turn this car around and we'll go home." That one has been used on long trips.
