In case you can't tell, I'm partially excited about this news item.

Fox are gods on earth! Ironic how a year ago I might've here or there slipped out a few naughty too hot for SO words about them. lol.

I too am surprised by how fast we're getting Season 3. My guess would be that FOX was actually super-impressed with how Season 2 sold that they wanted to expedite the work on Season 3 as fast as possible. I'm so glad. I hated hearing various reports about how low Season 1's sales were, like the show was a dud or something. Season 1 was just out of price for the majority of the public, that's all.

Perhaps with the release of Season 3 and beyond we'll eventually see the release of the spin-offs Rhoda and Phyllis. I know it's way too early to tell, since we're not even guaranteed all 7 seasons of The Mary Tyler Moore Show but I think if sales hold up, we'll see the spin-offs too. The bottom line is $$ and if FOX makes a ton of it with The Mary Tyler Moore Show, they'll want to milk that for all its worth with Rhoda and Phyllis as well.

It's about time FOX's bottom line ($$$) worked in our favor, no? :) :) :)

This is no big deal actually. It's only a week later. Besides, being so soon after Christmas, I could use the extra week to recover my finances. At least it wasn't put on indefinite delay like some series.

I feel your pain! I'm trying to stay optimistic, though, and tell myself that maybe they're trying to put together some GREAT extras. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon!

Hopefully it will include the Reunion special, emmy clips, commentary, another trivia, photo gallery, the unvailing of the statue in Minneapolis or anything else. And I am really anxious to know who is on the cover of the box.

I highly doubt extras are going to be included, otherwise TSoD would've DEFINATELY let us starving fans know. I think that it's too late for Fox to announce extras. Hope isn't lost though, as we saw with The Nanny- Season One. (though that title came from Sony)

It's not a matter of optimism now, it's too late. There's always hope, and I'm trying to think good will come of the issue, but it's really cutting edge at this point if they were to announce any extras.

Anyone have problems playing the DVDs on their PCs like our reviewer Seth?

No, I'm not. (At least not yet) I did think for a short time that Fox had burned the same ep twice on my 2nd Disk, because every time I selected it on my Portable DVD Player (Christmas Gift) it would be "Have I Got A Guy For You". Instead of "Operation: Lou". It seems to be okay now (in Regular DVD Player).. I may try it again soon in there again and see what happens.

I was wondering about that. Seth mentioned something in the review about a Digital Rights Management issue, but didn't mention what it was. I tried mine in my laptop dvd drive and didn't have any problem playing it.

And if I may make a correction, the first season set was in a foldout digipak as opposed to slimcases.
