View Full Version : Favorite Standout Episode?
Christopher 10-02-2005, 07:43 PM What's your favorite standout episode from Buffy?
Mine would have to be The Body. It was so real and very dramatic for the show to do. I never expected Joss to add something like that to the show. He did it perfectly IMO.
Dean Winchester 10-02-2005, 11:21 PM all great episodes, but I chose Surprise/Innocense because to me, that was when the show really catapulted itself to the next stratosphere.
passion was an amazing episode- great acting by all

yes, Passion is another great one. I love how Joss went all out and made you completely hate Angel despite that a few episodes before, you were supposed to love the character.

You should have listed "All of the above" - it would win in a landslide; however, I voted for The Body. It had the best acting in a post-HS ep, and was one of the best of the series.
OMWF almost got my vote, just because the writing was so perfect and the ep was so well done, but OMWF was still a gimmick episode (albeit a *really* well done one.)
Lorelai Gilmore 01-03-2006, 05:45 PM I loved Surprise/Innocense for the whole Bangel aspect of it but I thought the most memorable episode was The Body. It was such a shock factor to have a none demon death and to loose such a loved character!! Anya's speach was so touching :)
Lurker 01-16-2006, 10:46 PM I liked Hush a lot, but I had to vote for Once More With Feeling because of all the hard work it had to take and for the shear "balls" it took to do.
Johnny S 01-31-2006, 03:14 PM Once More With Feeling is easily the most brilliant episode of television ever.
Jaina 12-17-2006, 12:31 AM I had to go for Hush because having acted and written a couple scenes in drama where we weren't allowed to talk, I can apprectiate how hard it is to act (and especially write!) something like that.
Buffyboy323 12-21-2006, 12:54 AM Season Two's "Passion." I think it just might be my favorite episode of the entire series. "Becoming I and II" are also really awesome. :)
Faith 02-20-2007, 02:16 AM Earshot, and Once more with feeling in close second.
Jr1986 04-12-2007, 02:24 AM "The Body" is the finest hour of television I have ever seen. This episode captured the stark reality of losing a loved one. From beginning to end, this episode is truly amazing, with phenomenal performances by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Emma Caulfield.
pfeifferobsessed 03-03-2008, 03:29 AM all the eps of the show are my favorite! lol! the body prolly has the best acting, but my fave ep will always be once more with feeling...with family as a very, very close second!!!
Race's Girl 05-16-2008, 07:21 AM Once More With Feeling is easily the most brilliant episode of television ever.
Yeah, that was a musical episode, wasn't it?
