TVFactFan 09-30-2005, 09:41 PM The episode was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Da** this was a funny episode with him and Mary going at it and the the thing that took the cake was when he was dancing with Sandra, Mary, and Rose-LOL The Man had dancing skills and I have to record this episode when it comes back on at 3am. Great episode.
Dwaynew 10-01-2005, 01:06 AM I loved that episode too. Jackee made several appearances on Amen.

Really? I thought she only appeared on Amen once.
Brieannas21 10-04-2005, 04:56 PM Really? I thought she only appeared on Amen once.
No she was on there a few times. Remember when she came on as one of Thelma's old high school friends. And then when the Deacon was defending her in a murder trial because she killed her husband. And her and the Deacon ended up getting married. But at the end it turned out to be a dream that the Deacon was having.

megamanj2004 10-06-2005, 06:39 PM So, there were a lot of crossovers b'tween 227 and Amen? Kind of interesting since both shows aired on the same night during their original NBC days! :)

No they were not crossovers. When Sherman guest starred on 227, he wasn;t playing his Deacon Frye Character. And when Jackee guest starred on Amen she didn;t play her Sondra Character.
James"Thunder"Early 10-10-2005, 02:09 PM Franklin Cover and Roxie Roker also guest starred in episodes

GARFIELDKOOL 10-21-2005, 09:30 PM Whitman Mayo and Lawanda Page guest starred on 227 and Amen also. It was starting to look like a Norman Lear hold over for those who needed work.

Let me just remind you that Mayo and Page didn't appear until the last season of Amen. I don't want to tell the episodes, but let me just say Mayo and Page played husband and wife(how nasty, LOL) on an episode.

LOL yeah isn't that the episode where Wanda kept lifting her dress up to her knees and look at the Deacon and say's "Suffer"

So its you and others that are preventing a season 2 release of my show? Times like these I wish I had TV ONE.

LOL-Well I think Amen is a little better than 227.
Dwaynew 12-24-2005, 11:35 PM LOL-Well I think Amen is a little better than 227.
Both shows were excellent and reached different age gruops of viewers. I appreciated Amen while I was older, and actually when Nell appeared is what made me want to watch after... 227 was a family show (seasons 1, 2 and 3) that tried to instruct and inform the family of many problems facing youth/family.
Growing up, we weren't allowed to watch Amen. I am looking forward to the Amen and more 227 releases, especially seasons 2 and 3.

I don't work for them, so this is not any type of plug. It is a really good service where for a $20/month fee you can go to their webpage and list DVDs you want delivered to your home. For $20/month, you can have three DVDs at a time and they send a pre-paid return envelope each time a new DVD comes. You can keep them as long as you like, but won't get another one until you return one of the three you have out. I watched the entire first season of Lost using the service and they have several other TV Shows too. 227 among them.
