View Full Version : Carl & James...in the afterlife... Ireneparalegal 09-20-2005, 02:47 AM do you think James and Carl would have met up in heaven and if so what kind of conversation do you imagine them having? i know, crazy crap question, just being different. LOL Brieannas21 09-20-2005, 07:23 PM Well since Carl didn't believe in God, I doubt that he went to heaven. So I guess they didn't meet up with each other to have a talk. Jrnygrl 09-20-2005, 08:21 PM Come to think of it, did James ever say that he was a believer in God??? At least I don't recall. I mean he said a lot of those "...yes laud's." But did we ever know if his character was a real believer? I know he was happy with "Black Jesus" and when his friend Sam the con artist came to town, he really didn't denounce the fact that he was using God in his schemes just that he was crooked or not honest. Just a thought to go with Irene's question. :D  Brieannas21 09-20-2005, 11:11 PM Yes James believed in God, go back to the Black Jesus episode amatthias 09-20-2005, 11:39 PM I can't remember which, but James did pray to God in at least one episode, so he must have believed in God. Aaron craftman 09-21-2005, 01:53 AM do you think James and Carl would have met up in heaven and if so what kind of conversation do you imagine them having? i know, crazy crap question, just being different. LOL I love your honesty, yes it's a crazy crap question, but that's what makes you so cool, you being different. :) Plus it's a hard question. Let me see....Good point from Bri, Carl might not have made it to heaven. If he did, I can see them hanging out talking about how good of a woman Flo was. You know, Carl wasn't a bad guy, I don't think James would have anything against Carl. And Carl did own his own fix it shop which james tried to do too, so they had that in common. :D Jrnygrl made a good point too. I can't recall James ever proclaiming his love for the Lord outright either. I'm sure he believe, but it wasn't shown like Florida's was. Brieannas21 09-21-2005, 02:22 AM In The Mural James did talk to God asking why he was feeling the way he was feeling. So yes James did believe in God. Ireneparalegal 09-21-2005, 01:45 PM i had been sick all day yesterday and glad to be on the boards. it's true Carl didn't believe in God and James never went to church, except when he got married. Thanx Craftman for the opinion that i had a cool crazy question. Just thinking, when one has had more than one spouse in a lifetime, due to death of course, i always wonder what it must be like for them in the afterlife. True, Carl may not have to gone to heaven, but do you think James would have??? If he didn't do you think they both met "elsewhere"? BTW, what do atheists yell out during sex????????????????  Brieannas21 09-21-2005, 09:58 PM Since I do attend Church, And what I understand in the Bible is that you don't have to attend church every Sunday in order to get into heaven. In the TV world, maybe James went to Church ever now and again, Who knows. But James did attend a church revival. GeorgeWBushGOP 09-21-2005, 09:59 PM BTW, what do atheists yell out during sex????????????????  Oh My Goodness!!!??? Ireneparalegal 09-21-2005, 10:03 PM Oh My Goodness!!!??? OMG!!! So funny...this reminds me of a joke this comedian said abt Prince Charles. The comedian said: "We say 'Oh God I'm ______" (you know that word that rhymes with humming LOL) what does Prince Charles say: "Oh Lord, I am arriving!!" He was a hard working man, cared about his family, didn't commit no crimes, tried to raise his family right, no reason for him to go to the other place, I don't think. And you wouldn't have me any other way!!!! ;) Dr. Thong 09-25-2005, 10:27 AM Can anyone point out an actual episode where it was disclosed that Carl actually died?? The only thing I remember is Florida returning for the sixth season and someone asking her how Carl was and she said something like "He's good." And that, as I recall, is the last mention of him ever on the series. craftman 09-25-2005, 12:02 PM Can anyone point out an actual episode where it was disclosed that Carl actually died?? The only thing I remember is Florida returning for the sixth season and someone asking her how Carl was and she said something like "He's good." And that, as I recall, is the last mention of him ever on the series. There was no episode that mentioned what happened to Carl. I don't even remember anybody asking her about him when she came back. The only mention I can remember is on the first show when Flo came back, she gave Michael a book and said Carl and I got it for you. JeffRuss1972 09-25-2005, 12:53 PM She did start referring to herself as "Florida Evans" again. I believe. She never said her last name was Dixon again. Ireneparalegal 09-25-2005, 03:12 PM She did start referring to herself as "Florida Evans" again. I believe.
