Why do dogs eat grass and then throw up? My dog (she thinks she's mine)lol. Sheeba will eat grass and then throws it back up, I yell het to stop,but she does it agian,it seems like she's ignoring me, somebody said it's because the grass cleans out the dogs stomach. Just wondering if it was ok for a dog to eat grass. Exspeciily when Sheeba was sick earler this year, but she's spoiled rotton and running around as ever now.

Cats do eat grass, because it acts an an enemic and makes them throw up to get rid of hairballs and other junk that's in their stomach.
