craftman 09-11-2005, 12:36 AM DYN-O-MITE!!!!
I think someone posted this before, but JJ was a different person in season 5, and Penny wasn't around when he said DYN-O-MITE. So how could she imitate him?.?.?.?
Ireneparalegal 09-11-2005, 12:37 AM hmmmmmm.....(Irene waiting for Retro's reply...) LOL

Craftman I was the one who brung that up and i personally felt that good Times should have been cancelled right after Penny said it. Like you said it made no sense since J.J's Dynomite days were OVER by time she came around

*Yells Out*..."Solomon, where are you?!!!"....
Ireneparalegal 09-11-2005, 12:48 AM They had Michael imitating JJ, Penny imitating JJ, even Flo did it. Then they had JJ trying to be like James with his wise cracks to Willona. What was up with all that?

TVFactFan 09-11-2005, 02:00 AM which ep?
The episode when Willona dated J.J's Deaf Friend from Art School. "Willona's Dilemma"
Ireneparalegal 09-11-2005, 02:04 AM oh yeah. btw, i didn't like that episode. first a blind salesman, then a deaf student, a girl in a wheelchair, a young boy possibly losing his hearing. Man, so many issues regarding the handicapped. not a personal attack, but there was always a message that the producers wanted to touch on.
Brieannas21 09-11-2005, 02:33 AM See, we as the viewers, aren't supposed to see everyday life with the Evans family in the Evans household. So we are supposed to think that one day in time JJ said it around Penny.

you know, i said the same thing abt the oatmeal thread. we didn't see them everyday, so it is assumed they ate other stuff for breakfast.

Yeah, and you have to face it when your poor you make due with what you have and what you can afford.

I liked that episode about Willona dating the deaf guy. That's what I liked about Good Times, they put in serious topics and still had comedy in it. To me, that's hard to balance those two issues and make it work.
Like that part in "Willona's Dilema" when JJ said," Hey, Walt how come you never told me you were deaf."
Walt - "Once you tell people, they start treating you differently."
JJ - "Aww, that's ridiculous. I mean (over pronounciating every word) WHO...WOULD... DO... A... THING...LIKE...THAT.
Walt - "JJ, I only need to read your lips, not your tonsils."

The point is, Penny should have never said it because she looked stupid when she said it.

BTW George Carlin was on Bill Maher last night. Awesome, just awesome. I love the way he speaks abt the govt. LOL
msjay 09-18-2005, 02:07 PM I really didn't understand penny singing, "hold the pickles, hold the lettuce!" I"m like where did that come from? Then Wilona says get the dishes set the table. I thought that was kinda stupid to just bust out and say, did she wanna go to McDonald's?

It probably was connected to a commercial. I do remember seeing that GOOFY scene with Willona and Penny-lol

Solomon, I know what you mean. My eyes rolled in the back of my head when she said DYNOMITE. It was bad enough when JJ kept on saying it but to have her say it made it even MORE annoying (whether JJ was still saying it or not).

I know, she was just an all around bad character and that's why i preferred Bookman and Carl more

I saw him on Battle of the Netwrk Reality Stars on Bravo as a judge, and he was acting like JJ. He eliminated a few people from a "simon says" game, and one of the contestants Jimme eliminated was so pissed he said "DY-NO-MITE" in an pissed off tone. It was funny the way it came out.
LMAO!!!!
