REUBEN: Annette Funicello? Notice that Reuben is also mentioning Miss Funicello. To prove that a running gag is classic when you mention someone from your generation. The first time annette was mentioned is in the pilot episode,when Shirley says it. Everyone should understand that these were the early 1970s and at least these words reflected much of the mood of the times.
