Agent 13 09-06-2005, 07:25 PM No matter which section of SO you are on, if you are a moderator, that will be listed underneath your ID.
To find the moderators of the Trading Post specifically, go to the bottom of the man Trading Post page, and you'll see them listed on the bottom righthand side.
We have an excellent crew, and I'm thrilled. :happyface

RedWhine56 09-07-2005, 10:48 AM and Redwhine .. i hope you forgave my sarcasim and mis-reading of your post about greg. .. also tipping hat.
No problem! I did hear back from GreatSpacePort (Greg) and he does not live in the Katrina area, so all is well with him. (We hadn't actually traded yet...we are negotiating & he normally responds within a day or two...so not hearing from him for a week right when Katrina hit was a bit creepy...)
savageamusement 09-07-2005, 10:57 AM Awwww DAJIZZARIZZA are you saying if I was a boy I can't hug a teddy bear hehee---
I am starting a new thread to ask people the hidden meaning behind their screen name choices...your first Daji :)
DAJIZZARIZZA 09-07-2005, 06:44 PM well my old street nickname from Jersey and NYC. years back was "DA JOKER" ,.. however since one of my ole trading buddies is named The Joker ,.. so as not to confuse people i did not use my old nickname on the internet.
so DAJIZZARIZZA = DA JOKER RESSURECTED
and you Miss Savage ?
RedWhine56 09-07-2005, 07:03 PM Awwww DAJIZZARIZZA are you saying if I was a boy I can't hug a teddy bear hehee---

The heck with what it means...how the heck do you PRONOUNCE it?????
PS - my screen name was derived in an attempt to find something that no one could associate with me such as favorite actors/shows, dog's names, husband's name, etc. I was drinking a glass of red wine at the time and remembered what my husband always ribs me about a Jewish American Princess' favorite "wine"... ("I wanna go to Miami..."), hence the variation in the spelling. And I was born in 1956. (I know, you all are amazed because I look so young...)
Actually, I think this is a GREAT topic!!! (Haven't we ALL at one time or another thought...'how the heck did they come up with THAT'????)
savageamusement 09-07-2005, 07:36 PM Mine is a bit boring :)
I was a huge Scorpions fan for perosnal reasons, and the album SavageAmusement- was quite the....appropriate name for many reasons- but the core reason, love the album.
Heh
Ireneparalegal 09-07-2005, 07:39 PM Just be careful with some of the people who take their position as moderator and decide to use profanity. I was called the B-word several times by one. Mind you, this moderator is no more than 17 years old. Just be careful, this is no opinion, just fact.
phiberosmosis 09-07-2005, 10:11 PM my name came from when i had cam,e back to nevada from ohio were i had no internet for awhile i needed a new handle. my old one was enemy_of_the_world but i didnt have the passwords for al;ll that. so i called my brothere in the room and asked him what my handle should be he told me he liked phiber and picked up a comic anthology book i had flipped thru and found the word osmosis. so it was phiberosmosis. it flows. incidently many years ago beforethe internet we know today excisted i made up my bros name neozod. so there u go
nannyfan 09-07-2005, 10:17 PM Hey...doesn't anybody want to know how I picked my screen name;) I was looking for "The Nanny" series on tape when I first registered with sitcomsonline. Who knew I'd still be around 2+ years later! I probably would have chosen a better screen name if I knew I'd get hooked on trading! But, everybody knows me as Nannyfan so I just stick with it.
I appreciate anybody who takes on moderating this board! I know I wouldn't want to do it! It requires wayyyyyyy more patience and tactfullness than I can muster even on my best days!;)

I don't like to cast stones, but your avatar is profane. Good for the goose but not the gander?
As for the origination of my ID, after a run-in with notorious bad trader Tina Ledbetter I did a bit of research on-line and felt like a detective. But alas, my favorite female detective character Agent 99 was taken, as was Agent 86. Still, I do really like Agent 13 and his funny personality, even if I'm a girl. :happyface

"MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL AND WIPE MY BUTT" is not using profanity. Being called the B-word BY A MODERATOR and having an avatar that didn't have the B-WORD IN IT, is like comparing apples to oranges. SO, I GUESS YOU CONDONE A MODERATOR CALLING PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WOMEN B*****??? FOR NO REASON. Well then, I guess you don't care what people say, so then why mention it.
BTW IT'S "BUT NOT GOOD FOR THE GANDER (not ganger)
savageamusement 09-08-2005, 12:54 AM I agree = I think the name suits you Jen :)
savageamusement 09-08-2005, 01:04 AM Ireneparalegal---I haven't seen any moderators use such language, but whomever that was --that was wrong of them.
All people here, shoudl be treated with respect. There are more than one moderator, as well as an administator. If you ever find yourself being spoken to in that matter- you shoudl report them, just as you would any other.
The one thing I promise as a moderator, is to treat everyone the same as I want to be treated. That is a simple consideration all people are entitled to.
Please accept my apologies for whomever insulted you and called you such things.
But for the record, I don't think Agent13 was comparing one to the other. I think it was an unrelated comment.....and to those whom have never seen Family guy, they might not find the humor in Stewies Tushy...... :)
DAJIZZARIZZA 09-08-2005, 07:54 PM Are my eyes crossed ... have you been on this forum for only 2 months and have 1,891 posts ?
who is the mod and what was the conversation about ?

I appreciate your response to my post. I totally agree with you 100%. My apologies to the poster who didn't like my avatar. I mean no disrespect or offense. I just hate the fact that a moderator is continued to be a moderator after doing that. I was also PM'd by another who told me they were harassed by that moderator also. So, I did let the Administrator know. Anyhow, just don't want the reflection of all moderators to be blemished by one "person". I think you wouldn't want your moderator status being tarnished by those who abuse their power, especially saying they are a moderator and then BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP at me those words.
I want to have fun on these forums and I thank you for your response and your fairness in this matter. You are one of many good moderators on this board.

LOL...u know, I didn't even notice my posts # until u pointed it out to me. Thanx. WOW...and I'm not even here all day. I try to get on-line for an hour before I leave and do my business. Right now, my toddler is asleep and I am able to come on here sooner than usual.
savageamusement 09-09-2005, 01:26 AM Well as with anything, when you put lumps of people together in any classification- things can get tense.
I can say I mdoerate 3 boards- and I get an average of 200 + emails of reported posts, questions, concern..some mild tattling- and depending on what and how fast things are handled, my quota of bad emails telling me basically I suck.
And that, sometimes makes for a bad day.
No one should ever use profanity to discuss anything with a person- it is simply illiterate fool behavior, not to mention reflects on the person using it.
But, we all have bad days- and I have learned some words are very casual to some, while offending others.
I tend to be a little more casual with friends, and a lot more protective aroudn children.
But as I said- I don't wnat to be treated any different because I am a moderator, and more than I will treat some different because they aren't.
If I screw up a trade, I will be held accountable- and if you have a problem with how I handle things- by all means confront me.
I have been aid to many bannings lately, and I am sure I have made some enemies - but I can't please everyone, so I am trying to make judgements on the graeter good and I admit, I am holding my breath a few times on decisions...
All I can hope for is that I help keep things peaceful, and friendly and we all get our main goal- which is to laugh and joke around and watch a few good tv shows :)
