Judy Cohen Story? I just felt it was a not switch up to something different. Something we didn;t normally see on Good Times. Yes she was not a looker, but I thought she was very entertaining on stage and inside the Evans. The most funny thing about Judy was that she knew she was unattractive but had a lot of confidence in her singing. Does anyone else beside me like this episode?

Sorry, but it has nothing to do with Judy's looks! If that was the case then we wouldn't have watched because of Jimmy and his looks. It had to do with this was a weak story.

It's just you Solomon. I'm quoting myself from another thread;

The Judy Cohen character was out of place on a show like Good Times. People didn't watch Good Times to see some short, dumpy girl sing show tunes. What was that song she sang? Send In The Clowns? They sent in the clowns when she took the stage.

Well it was funny to me. It probably would have been better if Michael and those 3 guys performed at the club like they did at the apt

That would have made it more tolerable. It was too much Judy. But that wasn't a funny episode, it was pretty dry.

No. I didn't like that episode. Just like the show with that other lame comedian. I thought JJ was an artist. Now what did he know about judging talent?

One thing I did like was when a real agent told JJ to F*** off. He didn't know anything about managing. If he did, he should've managed Keith's up and coming comic career. :D

I wouldn't call this one of the better shows by a long stretch but seeing it on the dvd recently it wasn't as bad as I recalled. The ending is really rather bittersweet as were the endings of quite a few episodes in season 4. This episode to me is better than the one where they were selling the underwear. To me that is the worst season 4 episode, the premise is just too far out.

The only good thing abt the show was her singing, and even that wasn't that great. I hate that episode. You are all alone in this one Soloman. Sorry.

I do like the episode, not sure why. I guess because it's a little different than most of the others. And when she sang the song Send in the Clowns, you can tell she's had a painful life.

It was a decent show just didn't fit Good Times. That woman was never on the show before or after. She just showed up out of nowhere and the whole episode is devoted to her?
Who is Judy Cohen?
Is she famous ?
DO we suppose to know her?

I like good story lines that make you think. Everybody goes through hard times in life, some people can cope and some can't, depends on who you have in your life (I think) that can get you through the bad times. That's why I liked Good Times for doing shows about serious topics and still can make you laugh. Like the part when JJ was trying to keep Robert awake and he said, "Come on Robert, that's your problem you don't laugh enough, you got to laugh." Then JJ did this " Boogety, boogety boo. To me that's funny in a serious situation.

Yeah, I agree. I have had some serious situations or been so damn depressed and my girlfriend always somehow finds a way to make me laugh. I swear, she is so funny. We worked together at this law office and I was on the verge of filing for divorce. She made me laugh so hard that week, I was crying tears of laughter. Man, she made me feel so damn good. Laughter is a good medicine.

Actually in the ghetto 98% of the blacks are serious people; 76% of the 98% think only funny thoughts; then 1/3 of that 76% are ********. But then 1 in 3 of those ******** people are usually skinny, annoying, ugly, tall guys who live in the ghetto with their MOTHER AND FATHER. :triplets :cheer: :rofl: :grineyes:
