Seriously, can we please have a moratorium on survey threads for a week or ten? I'll give each and every one of you an imaginary shiny eDollar™.

Can we take a survey to determine if other members think it's a good idea too?

I never even come to these boards and the day I do, I see it is flooded with these ridiculous surveys. I hate those things anyway, they are so boring and have no point to them.

I agree with both sides, actually.

Yes, I agree with the fact there should NOT be an overflood of surveys. I mean, they have become OVER-board. Some of these surveys have turned out to be WAY too silly. I think some become over-embellished asking silly, irrelevant questions should be the ones that should be cut back.

I think there are surveys that are quite pondering AND quite interesting (i.e. the ones with faves, least faves, love, family, friends, etc). But the silly ones that talk about farting and violence are rather silly, in my opinion.

No, I don't think surveys should be banned. I don't think it's fair because some can be quite interesting to read. Maybe the silly ones can be cut back. And maybe a slow down of surveys is a good idea, too. Some of these were old from MONTHS ago. I think those should not be rehashed until there are no recent surveys. As the saying goes, "It only takes one apple to spoil the bunch." I hope those silly ones don't spoil the bunch. It wouldn't be fair.

I think that's funny coming from you, seeing that you have posted a bunch of them yourself.

I find most surveys silly and uninteresting. I don't know about you, but I don't care about the last time someone got ****ed or the first time someone kissed. Who needs to know that **** anyway?

I agree with you there. I guess what I meant to say was that these silly questions can be "fun" the first couple of times, but too much of it is tedious. Some of the ones that come from me were actually posted MONTHS ago. They were just resurected by a certain "new" member, so I guess it put me in a bad spot if someone doesn't notice the dates. Some of these recent surveys that *I* have posted I've edited questions out.

I don't understand why it matters. If the surveys annoy you for some reason, then just ignore them. It's not like you have an obligation to read every thread. I for one have very little do this summer and enjoy doing the occassional survey. So, yeah.

I like surveys, but when the questions are the all the same, it gets boring [yet I find myself doing them anyways]. Maybe Janice could make us a thread for surveys only and sticky it or something *shrug*.

it annoys people when half of the page is flooded with the same threads, it makes them hard to look over regardless if they read them or not. i'm not annoyed by the surveys because i like taking them, but that's how some people feel.

I'm not asking for surveys to be "banned." Heck, I even like to fill them out once in a blue moon; they're not all without merit (though most are downright silly). I just think that a flood of surveys on the front page of a board is a bit much. Call me unreasonable, I guess, but that's how I feel.

So, in conclusion, bring on the surveys. Just not on an insantely frequent basis.

Hmmm. Let's see. Moral issues that affect society and the murdering of an unborn life. I think that about covers it.

You're a guy, and you're not gay. Can't take part in either of them.

But I could be in a relationship that had to deal with abortion and also be a closet homosexual. Tell me somemore of what I'm not God.

Bobby F.
08-19-2005, 06:04 PM
Whether or not your girlfriend/wife would have an abortion is not up to you. And if you were a closet homosexual that believed gay marriage was morally wrong, you'd be a hypocrite.

You're also not Mexican, 11 years old, a lesbian, a billionaire, nor very funny.

Whether or not it would be up to me is not what you said. You said I can't take part in it. If you are going to mean one thing and say another you are constantly going to be confusing yourself.

A hypocrite only in your twisted way of thinking. Go back and read some of the threads on gay marriage. You'll be suprised to see that there were a few gays who were actually against it.

And yes. I am funny. The stick that you have stuck in your private area forbids you from seeing it though. :bouncers
