The Kansas song, 'Dust In The Wind' is currently being used in a car commercial (can't think of the model of car).

I didn't know at first that song was even an actual song by Bob Seger. I could tell it was him singing it, just never knew until a few years ago it was a real song. Also, that Six Flags song with the old man dancing fast. I didn't know it was also a real song by the Vengaboys.

Speaking of a Carly Simon song, wasn't Anticipation used in a Heinz ketchup commercial back in the 70's, and was Orlean's Still The One used as a fall promotional song for ABC back in the 70's also???

Buick - "Dream On" by Aerosmith
Cadillac - "Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin

I don't know what Chevrolet and Saturn are using.

Oldsmobile, of course, is no more.

I remember that. For a long time I thought the commercial preceded the song just like that Coca Cola tune. Old Navy has taken all sorts of songs and used them in ads including Bust A Move by Young MC.

So did I. I was suprised when I got older that Anticipation was before the idea of a commercial.

Another song that I just heard and can't believe is in a commercial is Stevie Wonder's "Don't You Worry Bout A Thing" it is in a UPS commercial. Say it isn't so Stevie!! :crying: :soapbox: ohno: :grrbald: pissed:

Six Mix-A-Lot recorded a retooled "Baby Got Back" to hawk Target's back-to-school sale. I saw the commercial yesterday and nearly pissed myself laughing - I'm pretty sure it was him rapping.

The song "Dream On" was from a Buick commercial. I've heard that song during a 4th of July fireworks show that was in Boston on TV last month where they had the same exact song where it was later used in a Buick commercial.

Carly's "Anticipation" was also used in ketchup commercials two-three years ago.

I just love Aquafina's commercials featuring Top of the World by Carpenters!
