I read on jumptheshark.com that Ann divorced Ed simply because she was "bored." The posters there were very critical in an unkind way towards Bonnie Franklin and the Ann Romano character. They all said Ms. Romano was a self-centered, selfish unthoughtful wife and mother for wanting to divorce because she was "bored."
Did she really get a divorce because she was bored? I thought it was because she married so young and had kids so young that she never got a chance to experience anything in life for herself hardly. When the girls got older she seeked the divorce.
